Colby glared at me," It's nothing, okay? Leave it alone." "Sorry." I mumbled, looking away. He grabbed my face, tracing his thumb across my cheek. "I'm sorry, Jade. It's just... nothing. I just don't want to talk about it. "Okay.." I said, scooting back, and curling up on the couch. Colby watched me, regret covering his face as he sat down, about a foot away from me and turned on the TV. We sat in silence for over an hour, watching random shows that came on the television. I shivered and wrapped my arms around myself, it was freezing in his apartment. Colby glanced at me before checking the time," It's late, do you wanna spend the night here?" "I don't know..." I answered," Do you want me to?" He hesitated, looking away. I was actually convinced that he would say no, but he nodded," Yeah, I do. If you don't want to though, I can take you home." "I.." my voice trailed off. It was such an easy question yet I didn't have an answer. He let out a drawn out breath," Come on." He got up and wrapped his arms around me, picked me up, and made his way to his room. " Colby, I can walk ya know." He didn't reply at first but set me down on his bed. "Just let me do something for you for once." he muttered," Do you want something to changed into?" " A shirt would be nice." I mumbled. He grabbed a black shirt and kneeled in front of me, brushing a stray hair behind my ear, and placing the shirt in my hands. Colby then turned away and pulled a pair of black sweatpants on , then yanked his shirt over his head. I ripped my eyes away from him and changed into his shirt, then slipped my pants off. "Woah, what are-" Colby stuttered. I turned around," What? It's not like you haven't seen me naked before." His eyes slowly traced down my body. " I know, it's just... nevermind." " Are you serious? Again?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" I rolled my eyes," You can't keep doing that! You always start to say things and then you say nevermind like it never happened!" Colby let out a frustrated growl," Watch me!" I groaned and sauntered towards him. I was so fed up with him acting like this. " You can't keep fucking doing that!" I yelled at him. He raised his eye brows but stayed silent. " I'm sick of you acting weird! What the hell is going on with you!" Without saying a word Colby sat down on the bed and looked up me, motioning for me to keep going. " Are you kidding me?" I whispered. He shot me a smirk. God, he knew how to piss me off. I crossed my arms, jutting my hip out," You're being an asshole." He grinned," Oh, I know." I rolled my eyes again, that was becoming a habit since I'd been spending more time with him. Colby leaned forward, staring me dead in the eye," I like it when you're frustrated." His voice, deep and raspy, sent shivers down my spine. I sucked in a deep breath," Nope. You're not doing that, it's not going to work." " I have no idea what you're talking about." He bit his lip, his eyes flashing as the bright blue darkened. " Stop it! Using your damn sex appeal isn't going to make me any less angry at you!" He chuckled," I think you're being dramatic." Did he seriously just say that? He's the on who's been acting like a different person. What the hell? " I'm not being dramatic." I said slowly. He bit his lip again, pulling at the skin there," Yeah, you are." " Stop it!" I said, shoving his shoulder. He began to fall back onto the bed, but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me down with him. He held me to his chest as I struggled to get up. Colby leaned forward so that our lips were almost touching," Stop fighting it, babe." His eyes were burning into mine, the blue almost completely absent. I froze, my breath stuck in my throat from how intense his gaze was. He must've known too, by the way he smirked before connecting our lips. His hands made their way into my hair, tugging harshly, making me gasp. " Are we good?" He asked, pulling away. "Not even close." He bit lip lip and gently traced his thumb across my jawline," Then why don;t I make it up to you?"
