Ellie Parker was a simple girl.

Well, not really.

If you count her relentless tries at getting her crushes attention with any possible way, normal, then you might be her, or even worse.

From promposals in front of the whole school in her eighth grade, to her senior year in highschool trying to stalk a boy then she talked to twice in a year.

Then yeah, she was definitely not a simple normal girl.

--------

Julio Koch was a chess prodigy.

He won countless trophies, appeared in magazines and newspapers as Somerset High's Wonder Boy.

Many girls had and still have crushes on him considering his wavy brown locks, his deep brown eyes that pierces your soul deeply, and a low chuckle that resonates deep within.

He may seem like a perfect boy, but let me tell you, the kid has never kissed a girl in his life. He paid no attention to the live and drama and occupied himself with his talents and studies.

Well, a certain blonde girl will definitely not pique his interest.

Right?

--------

It was now autumn for Somerset High, the students wearing slightly thick clothing for the weather and some don't.

A classroom, as quiet as a mouse, had a hurricane spiralling in it, ready to break free.

That hurricane was the popular, and mean girl, Jess.

"As I was saying, that number 21 from the other school was so looking at me." Jess replied, giggling after her statement.

Jess had wavy brown hair that had it dyed a light brown on the ends of her waist length hair. She chipped her nails together and licked her lips, looking smug at a wavy, strawberry blonde girl at the front of the class.

Ellie Parker.

"Hey, Try Hard Ellie!" The 'mean girl' called out, her high pitched voice resonating through the quiet classroom.

Ellie, clearly tired and embarrassed, turned from her seat, letting out a small screech from the metal chair legs. She looked unimpressed.

Jess clicked her tongue. "You know that number 21 from the other school was desperately looking at me."

Ellie rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth at Jess's statement.

The brunette smacked her lips and and draped her hair over her shoulder. "So don't even try, bitch."

The girl smirked and continued gossiping with her group of friends, an unpleasant feeling quickly prickling the skins of the students listening and sending chills down their back.

"Try Hard Ellie did it again."

"Seriously, with that football player?"

"When is she gonna stop?"

"Who does she think she is?"

Ellie, who was listening to all this groaned and flipped her hood up. She clearly did not want to hear all this. This was all a bunch of bullshit according to her friends, but not for her.

Ellie Parker was known for chasing after many guys, desperate to get a boyfriend, as this was her last year in high school.

And it was the middle of the school year, so no surprise that she's lusting for boys.

Poor girl's getting desperate.

The strawberry blonde sighed and rested her head on the table, her mind flooded with thoughts.

'Rebecca, is at Bio now, with her other friends, Johan is at Theatre with his girlfriend, and Andrew is at Home Economics with his boyfriend.'

Ellie groaned and tightened the hoodie strings, her knuckles already turning a sickening pale white.

"Hey, wake up." A low voice called out to her.

Ellie lifted her head and met these brown chocolate orbs that Ellie found beautiful (she's exaggerating).

That boy was Julio Koch, Ellie's possibly newest victim. From his way brown locks, to his black thin framed glasses, to his Hawaiian dress shirts, Ellie was all over him now.

No turning back.

Ellie cleared her throat and rested her cheek on her hand awkwardly.

The boy paid no attention to it as this specimen in front of him looked like she wants a painting of herself considering on how she's posing.

"Ehh...urm, yes?" Ellie squeaked out, a failed attempt of trying to sound cool.

"Ms. Agnes already assigned our teams for our Geography project." Julio said, running his freckled hand through his locks.

Ellie blanked. "Wait what?"

The rather handsome brunette scrunched his nose to fix his reading glasses, which Ellie found absolutely adorable, and scratched the nape of his neck.

"Yeah, she was explaining about trade barriers and other things earlier. She assigned groups too." Julio explained.

Julio cocked his head and raised his eyebrows. "Were you spacing out? I saw you from the back of the class. Putting you head and your arms like this." He said, mimicking Ellie's depression moment when she got called out by Jess.

Ellie felt her cool girl demeanour demolish and sighed. "Oh, yeah,I was...are you the only in the group though?"

Julio shook and head and pointed to two boys, or hooligans, trying balance three basketballs on his head.

"Nope, we've got them, but I'm sure they won't do anything." He said simply stuffing hishands in his pockets.

"Oh, then we could-"

RING

"Ah, shit, the bell." Ellie cursed.

"Language." Julio commented. He fished out his iPhone from his pocket and pressed on his screen. "Gimme your number, we can video call to discuss about it."

Ellie obediently nodded as Julio handed his phone to Ellie to type in her number. She handed the phone back to him with a smile and packed her things.

"So, 5pm?" Ellie called out to Julio who was scurrying away to his next class. The teen turned around and bobbed his head.

"Yeah, 5pm."
