Dead or Alive.

Lapis' POV

I was sat in bed crying all day and night, some came in to talk to me but no one could say anything that would make me feel any better, "it's all my fault... " I cried into my pillow "no it's not, it's that runt Amethyst! " I heard Jasper say from behind me, I shook my head, "I should of never of whinned about her getting that tattoo. It's my fault. " Jasper came over and hugged me tightly, but it wasn't the same as Peri's, her sent wasn't the same, her voice wasn't the same, her build wasn't the same. None of it was. "I know it's hard but trust me it will get better. " I shook my head and pulled away. "It won't, not for a while." Jasper stood up to leave me alone again, with just my thoughts of her. I miss you Peridot.

Squar brought me up some breakfast which she then partially forced me to eat, "Lapis please eat, she wouldn't want you getting sick like this. " I cried and ate the toast given to me, "can I check you bruise? " Squar asked I  gave a nod and Squari unwrapped the bandage from around my arm, "it looks good! " Squar said before binning the bandage and washing my bruise with a wet wipe. Squari looked at me as if she had an idea, "take your shirt off! " I went to slap her but she caught my hand and waved her's. "No no, I won't look, I meant why don't you stay in one of Peri's shirts. " I smiled and hugged Squar, "yes please, thankyou. " Squar then ventured off towards Peridot's room, she came back a few minutes later with an alien shirt, I pulled my shirt off whilst Squar looked away, and placed Peri's on. "You look very nice. " I thanked her with a hug and smiled down at the over sized shirt, "it smells so much like her. " Squari nodded before leaving she asked me to come down at 10 for dinner.

At 10am I came downstairs to see the driver sat at the table, "Lapis, I have a surprise for you when you have finished your dinner. " Squar announced I smiled but declined "no thankyou, I much rather stay home. " Squar huffed and said "please? I think you'll really like this one. " I gave up and nodded my head "but I'm not changing. " Squari nodded in approval before we sat down to eat our dinner whilst conversing back and forth. "Give me one clue? " I asked but Squar just laughed and continued eating, once we were finished Squari went to take a phone call in the other room, before coming back a few moments later. "Alright we can go to your surprise now. " I beamed with excitement and so did Squar, I just wished that Peri was with me to see it to.

After a half a hour drive Squar placed a blind fold on my face before we made it to our destination. I tried to guess where we were but I couldn't make it out. Squari then pulled me into a room and pulled my mask off before yelling surprise. And I was, sat their on the bed all bandaged up was Peridot sitting up in alive and well, "Peri! " I ran towards her and got on the bed, I hugged Peri, which made her wince but she didn't say anything. "The doctors said you may not make the surgery? " I asked in joy and a little confusion as I looked towards Peri and then to Squari. "The doctors told me that she must have something very important to her to live for if she could survive it. " Squari answered and Peridot blushed and rubbed get neck, "yeah I have my Lapis. " I smiled and kissed Peridot but then I pulled away when I heard Squari cough "well done Peri, you snagged her. " Peridot blushed and pecked my nose before lying down.

The doctor came in and did some checks then said they wanted to keep Peri another night so I asked to stay and the doctor said it was okay, "your not leaving me now. " I said to Peri as I led my head on her chest, she smiled down at me and kissed my hair. "What did you do today? " she asked which made me a little nervous I didn't want to tell her that I was crying in bed all day but I didn't want to lie to her, "I was crying a lot, I thought you wouldn't make it... " Peri held me close to her, and shooshed me as I cried in her arms, "hey, it's okay I'm okay... " I shook my head and pulled myself up so I could rap my arms around her neck "it's not though I hate that she's not in trouble. " Peridot looked at me and then turned to Squari that I only just realized was still there, "she didn't get caught? " Peri asked Squari holding on to me tightly, she almost seemed scared.

Before I knew it Peri's machine started to beep loudly and doctors started to rush in. I looked to Peri and saw that she was freaking out, "Peri! " I screamed holding onto Peri but she wasn't responding, I was the ripped from Peri's bed by Squar who then dragged me into the hallway, "no! Squar I need to be in there for her! " Squar held me tightly and moved to sit us down on two chairs, "Lapis please, calm down, Peri will be fine. " I held onto Squar as she rubbed my back for comfort.

I was almost asleep by the time the doctor came out with a clipboard in hand, "I have good news, she just went into shock, but she is doing better now. Be careful that you don't over stimulate her. You can go see her now, also I recommend a holiday for you three, tell work it was doctor's orders." I laughed a little at that but then ran towards Peri's room. I opened the door and walked slowly towards Peri, "I'm sorry Lapis... " I shook my head and sat on the bed, "It wasn't your fault, but guess what." I said excitedly Peri smiled "what? " I laughed and hugged hey close, "the doctor has prescribed you a holiday. "

Pei sat up and brought me to her, "that sounds like a wonderful idea. "
