Lapis' POV

I was running all I could hear around me was gun shots, "I've got her now Peridot so if you don't want her blood to stain the floor you are going to have to come here. " A voice said behind me as its faceless body wrapped an arm around me, it was so strong I couldn't escape. "Don't hurt her Amethyst, I surrender. " Peridot said as she lowered her gun. I shouted at her not to but she did anyway and came towards my captor and I. "Please Let her go... " I felt a tear escape my eye as I watched Peridot go to grab my arm but then in almost slow motion I watched the fear in her eyes, she fell to the ground as bullet made its way through her body. "Peridot! " I yelled as she lied dead on the floor her eyes wide open, the fear in her eyes still there.

"Lapis! Lapis, wake up! " I heard the faint voice of Peridot's. "Lapis, you had a bad dream... " I heard her say as she pulled me into her chest. "Lapis, it's okay, you're okay... " I grabbed onto Peridot's shirt as I breathed heavily. "Lapis, do you need anything?" I began to calm down as Peridot brushed my hair with her hand. "No--I--just--need--you. " I said inbetween breaths. I felt Peridot nod her head before laying down and pulling me down with her. "I--don't--want to sleep... " I said my voice still a little shaken but now it was a little like normal. "We don't have to sleep, I just need you to breaht... I love you, can you tell me what the dream was about? "

I breathed out "Amethyst had me... you surrendered...but she sh-ot y-you. " I began to cry again but she just held me close to her. "Hey, hey, hey. It's okay, It didn't happen and it won't happen. " I grabbed Peridot's arm and traced her muscle lines. "Peridot, I don't want to lose you. " Peridot moved back a little, I pulled on her shirt before she seemed to grab something from under the bed.

I watched as Pumpkin jumped on the bed which made me smile, I hugged her as I looked at Peridot who was holding a present in her hands "I know your birthday is still a month away, but... I think you need this now." I smiled and placed Pumpkin in Peridot's lap and took the present, I kissed her cheek and then ripped the paper, I looked to see a weighted mouse teddy. "I heard that they help with anxiety, so when I saw this little mouse, I knew it was perfect. "

I smiled as Peridot said this, I wrapped around Peridot smiling, "Thankyou so much Peri! " Peridot laughed and kissed my neck "it's 2am Lapi, do you wanna sleep? " Lapis nodded her head and held her mouse to her chest as she led down on the bed, I lied down next to her "what are you going to call them? " I asked as Pumpkin led on my side "I want to name him Lion." Peridot kissed my head and pulled me to her "I love you... " I smiled at her "I love you too Lapi. " she said as she fell asleep. I soon to fell asleep with my mouse named Lion, Pumpkin the cat and my girlfriend Peridot.
