He is walked me home again, saying a sweet good night before heading back to his place. "Cee!" As soon as i shut the door my mothers voice pierces my ears.
"Where were you??" I close my eyes and turn to face her, seeing that she's still high, "I went to the pool party with our new neighbor."
"What?" Her eyes darken, obviously angry. "I bought you back a burger." I hold the plate up to her. She looks down at it and for the first time in fifteen years-
She looks happy.
She grabs the plate before sitting on the couch in the corner of the room. I rush to my room while she's distracted, shutting and locking the door.

I wake up the next morning to the sound of knocking at the front door. Thinking it's only one of my moms customers- i ignore it.
But they knock again. I sigh and get up, realizing that my mom isn't even home right now, so i open the door.
"Hey Winter!" I'm met by a smiley Taehyung and i run my hands through my hair- trying to tame the mess, "Hey Tae." "Are you busy right now?" He chuckles at my sleepy expression.
I shake my head yawning, embarrassment overtaking me. "Let's go out," he gives me another boxy smile, "You can show me around town."
My heart leaps when he says the words, 'go out', even if i know he just means as friends. "I don't really know much about town," i confess, "I mostly stay home."
"Well then we can explore it together," he says stubbornly, "Come on i have the keys to my Dad's new car." Smiling in defeat i nod, "Give me five minutes."
I shut the door before going back to my room, throwing on his jacket and some sweats before brushing my hair and teeth.
"Let's go," i walk out, "Before my mom comes home." He stops in his tracks, "Wait won't you get in trouble-" "Trust me," i sigh, "This is the best way to do it."
He skips to my side nodding, "You really like that jacket huh?" He tugs on the sleeve of the over sized jacket that drapes over my thin figure.
"Yeah," i sigh making my way down the stairs, "I like the bright red." I run my hands over the soft fabric and he chuckles, "It's nice huh?"
Again i nod, reaching the end of the stairs and turning on the side walk. "I'll have to give you my orange one," he smiles, "It's nice and bright too."
I smile at the thought and stop walking as we reach the parking lot, "Okay so where's your dad's new car?" With that he pulls out a pair of car keys, pressing a button on the control.
I turn to look for the car that made the sound, but since there are so many different cars, i can't tell which one it is. Tae chuckles and walks up to one.
"That's your dads car?" I look at the shinny car that he is walking too. "Mhm, why?" He opens the passenger side door and i walk over to it, "It's sort of my dream car."
"Really? I like trucks." He chuckles as i hop inside the jeep. He closes the door before getting in on the driver side of the car, "Where to first?" He starts the engine.
"I don't know," i shrug, "Where do you wanna go?" He hums while putting his seatbelt on, "Somewhere fun?" "Well what's your idea of fun?" I let out an awkward laugh.
"I have an idea," he starts the car, "Put your seatbelt on, Winter." I obey, pulling the strap over my chest.
~
"A museum?" I giggle as we walk into the tall building. "What's wrong with museums?" He frowns, walking beside me up to the front doors.
"Nothing," i shrug, "I just didn't peg you as deep-thinking kind of guy." "Oh," he looks at me a bit offended, "What did you have me pegged as then?"
"An airhead pretty boy," i giggle, "You know, the one's that's too preoccupied with his popularity and good looks to give two shits about-"
"Wow," he sighs, "You must've hated my guts when we first met." "No," I push him playfully, "I just thought that you'd hate me."
"I could never." He smiles holding the door open for me to walk through. "Thank you, Tae." He nods before following me.
"How many?" The girl at the front smiles at us. "Two." Tae smiles pulling out his wallet and as he gets out the money, i can see his Id.
Snatching his wallet from him, i turn to look at it. He chuckles not bothered and pays the lady for our tickets. "Thank you," he turns back to me, "Here you have to wear this lanyard."
"You're eighteen?" I look back up at him to see another boxy smile plastered over his face, "Yeah, and?" He carefully puts the lanyard over around my neck.
"Uh," I clear my throat, "I just thought you were seventeen is all." I stumble a bit on my words as i follow him through the museum.
"What are you most interested in?" He stops at a map of the museum and we look over it. "Honestly," I look at the map, "I've never really been to a museum, so im not sure."
"Lets go see the dinosaur bone," he grabs my hand and drags me down the hall, "That's usually my favorite part." I can feel heat rise to my cheeks.
His warm hand fits perfectly around mine, making me all giddy inside. Soon we stop walking, but he doesn't let go of my hand.
"Here we are." He smiles as we look around at the different exhibits. "What do you want to see first," He keeps his eyes on the exhibits, looking around, "The t-rex, Megalodon-"
He trails off but i focus my attention on his flawless features, "What ever you want, Tae." I tighten my grip around his hand, not wanting to let go.

"So I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask hopefully as we stop in front of my apartment door. Sadly, he shakes his head, "I have church early tomorrow morning," he shrugs, "But ill pick you up for school on Monday?"
"Okay." I smile a nods, sad i won't get to see him, but glad he feels the same. "I'll be waiting at the bottom of the stairs at 7:15." He smiles still, making my heart leap.
"Ill see you then, Tae." I step into the apartment, but before the door closes u can hear him whisper,
"Night, Winter."
