Chapter 21. March 18

Today i had therapy so Tae drove me and he took me out to a movie after as a birthday date.

Yes.

It's my birthday.

March 18.

Ironic because it's my eighteenth birthday.

Although we went to see a movie- I'd be lying if i said we actually watched it. Tae wouldn't let me breath the whole time we were there!

I'm not complaining, it was nice to kiss my man without worrying about my mom or dad walking in on us-

And that's all we did.

Kiss.

Of course because we were in public, but it was still nice. There weren't that many people in there either because it's nine o'clock on a week day so it wasn't that bad.

On the way home i can tell he feels accomplished because he hasn't stopped smirking since we left the theatre.

The face he makes after he kisses me makes me feel so loved and appreciate it drives me insane!

Pulling into the drive way, he turns the car off, still smirking. "Baby what's up?" I laugh at him and he furrows his eye brows, "What do you mean?"

"You haven't stopped smirking since we left the theater," I unbuckle my seatbelt but stay in the car, "Something is up."

"Maybe I'm just excited," He grabs my hand, "Knowing that my princess is an adult now and we can get our own place soon." His smirk intensifies before he lets go of my hand to get out of the car.

"Really?" I follow his actions, skipping to his side as we go up to the door. "Really, my love." He pecks my lips before unlocking the door, moving aside and letting me in first.

As soon as i walk in loud gun shots ring through my ears, making me jump and my heart starts racing-

But when i look around all i can see are my parents and their family and some friends holding empty confetti shooters.

After a few moments i force a smile and grab Tae's arm to calm myself down.

"Happy Birthday Cee!"

Everyone cheers and pulls me into hugs, passing me from one person to the next, slowly separating me and Tae.

I force myself to be happy as i greet family members I've never met before, while still looking around for my Tae- anxiety still plaguing me.

"You must be Ce!" An elderly couple approaches me, "We're Nora's parents, Gladice and Antonio." "It's nice to finally meet you." I smile and hug them.

"What a beautiful girl," Gladice hugs me, "Call me nana!" "Of course, nana, and tata right?" I feel my anxiety dying down with when their smiles grow bigger.

"Hey Princess," Tae pops up behind me, "Are you okay?" He wraps an arm around my waist and i nod smiling. "Who is this young man?" Nana strokes his arm smirking.

"Nana, tata this is Tae," I giggle, "My boyfriend." "What," Tata gasps, "You have a boyfriend?" Me and Tae both giggle at him.

"How did you feel about the party?" Nora asks as we clean up after everyone left. "It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be." I giggle throwing cans in the recycling bin.

"I think the confetti guns were too much for her," Tae sighs, wiping down the counter, "She had a small panic attack."

"Really?" Liam pops around the corner carrying party hats, "Are you okay-" "Im okay dad," I sigh, "I confess i freaked out a bit at first, but it's okay. I have to learn to get over these things."

"Im sorry hun," Nora pulls me into a hug, "If we would've known-" "It's okay mom," I laugh, "Really. I'm okay."

"After we ran into your parents," Tae washes his hands in the sink, "I think she calmed down." Nora and Liam calm down a bit nodding.

I go to wash the dishes, but Nora stops me, "What are you doin'," She grabs the sponge and starts washing them herself, "Shouldn't you he getting ready?"

"For what?" I giggle and throw away the rest of the plates, concluding our cleaning marathon. "You'll see," Tae pecks my forehead, "Why don't you go shower while i get our things together?"

I eye the three of them curiously but they look away stubbornly, signaling that they won't spill the beans. Sighing i nod and go upstairs, "Okay, I'll be out in fifteen minutes."

"Perfect."
