I hurry to the restroom, quickly changing my messy shirt to Taehyung's expensive jacket. Its big on me, but i feel so good in it!
I've never worn something this nice.
The thick fabric making me feel warm and safe. The events between me and Hoseok completely leave my mind, the one of me and Taehyung replacing them.
I wash my hair and face in the sink before throwing combing through it with my hands as i walk to class.
~
"You whore!"
My mom grabs me by my hair, causing tears to form in my eyes. "Whose jacket it this? Did you steal it?"
"Mom i told you," i hold my tears in, "My friend gave it to me-" "Bullshit!" She throws me on the couch and i hiss loudly, rubbing my now sore scalp.
"If they catch you stealing they'll come here! Do you want to get me caught?" She screams at the top of her lungs, her eyes twitching, clearly still tweaking, "You want me to go to jail?
I shake my head sitting up right, holding onto my head still. "Then don't bring any attention to us!" She throws her hand at me, colliding with my cheek before she makes her way to her room, slamming the door behind her.
I take deep breaths before making my way to my room. Gently closing the door behind me, i lock it and get ready for bed.
~
The next morning I make my way to school, my head hanging low to avoid making eye contact with anyone.
"Hey!" My heart pounds at the familiar sweet voice. He smiles skipping to stand in front of me. "Hi Taehyung." I keep my head down to avoid him seeing the bruise on my cheek.
"I see you're liking the new jacket." I can hear his smile through his voice and i nod, "It's the nicest thing i own." I whisper embarrassed.
"I'm sorry." He steps closer to me but i only shrug. "You never told me your name." I can't help but smile, "Because it's not important."
I look up finally and see a cute pout om his face, "Why wouldn't-" his eyes widen, "Hun what happened to your cheek?" His hands gently move to cup my face.
"I-i fell," I lie, "On my way home from school." He buys it, "Do you walk everyday?" He gently caresses my cheek, inspecting the bruise still.
Pulling away from him I nod and he smiles, "Me too! Where do you live?" "In the apartments a few blocks down the street." I point down the road.
"Me too! How come i haven't seen you on the way to school," he tilts his head, "Or even around the apartments?" "I have a hidden talent," i look around incase one or the heathens is around, "I'm really good at being invisible."
"I would beg to differ," He chuckles, "We should walk together. After all you're my only friend at this school." "What about Jessica and-" "I don't consider them friends."
Again my cheeks flush pink and i nod, "Okay." The sound of the bell ringing flows throughout the school ground and everyone starts toward the buildings.
"I'll see you later uhh-" "Cee," i smile, "Cee Winter." "I'll see you later Cee." He smiles before heading into the crowded building.
I'm about to walk through the two doors, but someone steps in front of me, blocking the way. "Well hello Winter." Yoongi smirks evilly at me.
I turn to escape- but two more boys stand behind me. I look down at my fiddling hands, "What do you want?"
They say nothing, each of them taking a step closer towards me.
~
I show up to first hour ten minutes late due to the boys jumping me out front of the school. I can hear my teaching talking to me, but i don't know what he's saying.
The principal walked by us. He only said to get to class, not caring about the druggies daughter being tormented by boys at his school.
Maybe I'm not meant for this world.
Everyone hates me.
Even i hate me.
I literally have access to tons of drugs at my own house.
OD-ing wouldn't surprise anyone. No one would miss me. No one would care! My own mother would be more upset she got caught with a meth lab than with her own daughter's death.
~
At lunch i stare blankly at my math test that sits on the table in front of me. 100% written over the top. Of course, just like the last one.
All that studying, good grades, extra credit- all going to waist. After today it's not going to mean anything. Just numbers in a system that belong to a girl no one's going to remember.
"Hey, Cee!" My head perks up to meet a happy looking Taehyung as he sits beside me. I offer a weak smile, "Hi Taehyung." "Just call me Tae." he sets a large plate of nachos on the table.
I can't help staring at it and he notices. Pushing the plate towards me he takes a bite, "Try some. It's delicious!" Shrugging i grab a chip and eat it.
It really is delicious.
"Good right?" He chuckles and eats another chip. I sneak my hand over to his plate and he chuckles, "Help yourself." He pushes the plate towards me more.
"Thanks Tae." I smile at him, "No problem-" "Hey Taehyung, is this whore bothering you?" Jessica's voice rings through my ears and i can feel her gaze piercing through me.
I look down, wanting to disappear. "Excuse me?" Tae sounds on the verge of tears almost. "Is she bothering you?" I can see her grab his arm cutely.
"No, but you are." He shakes her arm off, scooting his chair closer to me. "Eat more, Cee." Him brushing her off for me gives me a weird feeling in my stomach.
"Taehyung," Jessica pouts, "Come sit with us." "I don't want to," he eats a nacho, "I like it better over here with Cee." With that she stomps away, throwing a tantrum- not being used to people telling her no.
"I can't stand some people." Tae rolls his eyes and i take another nacho nodding.
Maybe I'll stick around a little longer...
