Chapter 25. Someday

"Don't leave." Nora cries, holding me in a tight embrace, making me tear up. "Mom if i don't go now," i pull away from her, "I never will."

"The sooner we settle in the sooner we can give you grandkids." Tae smirks but Liam seems unimpressed. A nervous laugh leave Tae as he mouths a "sorry" to my dad.

Me and Nora laugh at the boys before hugging for the thirtieth time, "Call me as soon as you get there!" "Okay." I giggle at her before pulling away.

Looking up at Liam i can see his eyes are as watery as mine, "Why couldn't we get a four year old," he sniffles, "A kid that wouldn't leave in less than a year."

I roll my eyes at his words, knowing that he's only joking, "Wow i love you too dad." Pulling away i see him wiping his face.

"We'll be back on Saturday," Tae smile hugging Nora, "Remember? For our family dinner." She nods, burring her face in his chest.

"You guys act like we're moving countries." I let out a small laugh through my tears. "Well," Nora pulls back from Tae's hug and wipes her tears, "A lot of teen foster kids don't look back on their foster parents."

My heart breaks at the sight of her, "You're not just my foster parents," i refuse the urge to hug her again, "You're my mom and dad, okay? And you're stuck with me for the rest of my life."

That seems to pull out more tears from them and Liam motions for us to get in the car, "Just go already!" Me and Tae obey, laughing at the weeping couple.

We say a few more goodbye's as we pull out of the drive way, heading to our new home.

"Are you excited?" Tae reaches over to grab my hand, keeping his eyes on the road. "Ecstatic," i giggle, "You?" "I feel blessed." He kisses my hand.

On the way out of town, we end up stopping to eat- preparing for the longest drive of my life-

Sounds stupid i know. But i was born raised here, never leaving this town and i gotta say it feels really nice to finally see the world a little-

Even if its only a few towns over.

After we order we go to a small table in the corner, gossiping about our new place and how nice its going to be to have alone time- all the time.

"How many bedrooms is it?" I sip on my soda and he smiles. "It's only three, but its good for starting out." I can't help laughing at him, "What do you mean only three?"

"One for me and you," he smiles, "One for the baby-" "What baby?" We turn our attention to the police officer standing next to our table.

My heart stops when i see him, and i can feel my face going pale. "Dad what are you dong here?" Tae snarls at the man in blue.

"I could ask you two the same thing." He grabs my purse and starts going through it- which pisses Tae off. "What the hell are you doing?" He stands up ready to snatch my bag back.

"Aha!" Mr. Kim yells, "Using again are we?" He holds up a pill bottle, making everyone in the room look at us in disgust.

"Those are her antidepressants you asshole." Tae rips them out of his hand and everyone's eyes go to the stunned officer.

I keep my eyes down from embarrassment, feeling like i might break down any second.

"I'm sorry i-" "Who do you think you are?" Tae cuts him off, "Coming in here to accuse my girlfriend of stupid shit just to try to get me away from her?"

Tae's dad stares at him in defeat, a blank expression invading his face. "I don't want you anywhere near me, her- or our kids... or else I will press charges."

I can feel hurt radiating off of the office standing next to me as he throw my purse down and stomps out of the building.

"Princess," Tae walks around the table to kneel by me, cupping my face, "Are you okay, my love?" I only nod looking into his eyes with such admiration i can't hardly believe it.

He gave up everything for me.

"I love you, Tae." I let a small smile invade my face and he mirrors it, kissing my forehead, "I love you too, Winter."

"Awww."

The crowd around us coos, making us giggle in embarrassment. "When are you due?" An elderly woman with short white hair smiles at us.

"Oh we're not pregnant-" "Yet." Tae smirks and everyone chuckles at us, making me roll my eyes, "Someday," i sit straight in my seat, "Just not now."
