The next morning i wake up early to clean the apartment, feeling obligated to do something about the nasty place.
If i can give myself a makeover, i can surely give my home one!
When i finish the place looks brand new- the floors are mopped, the laundry done, kitchen cleaned- the restroom, living room, restroom- even my moms room looks nice.
Even if it's kinda empty, the apartment- for the first time ever- looks nice. Smiling contently i move back to my room to finish unpacking my new clothes.
~
It's still only 8 o'clock when i get done so i decide to practice my makeup applying skills for fun to pass the time, only putting on a little to make me look less tired and more alive.
I throw on a new pair of jeans and Tae's orange hoodie with my sneakers before going outside.
Hoping he isn't busy today, i make my way down stairs and to his door, A4. I take a deep breath before knocking on the wooden door.
"I know," I hear a mans voice from inside the door, "Taehyung you little shit, get the door!" I'm taken back by the loud rude voice from inside the apartment.
Soon the door swings open and i see a teary-eyed Taehyung. His expression changes when he sees me though, smiling he closes the door behind him, stepping outside.
"Hey Winter," he looks over me, "New look?" I smile shyly and nod, "Charlie and her friends took me out and gave me a makeover."
He smiles and tugs on the orange jacket im wearing, making me giggle, "I got new clothes," i brush some hair behind my ear, "But i like this more."
He chuckles and steps back running a hand through his hair, "So what brings you by? Was Charles being loud-" "No," i cut him off, "I just wanted to see if you were busy."
He shakes his head smiling, "I'm free if you are." I nod and put my hands in the hoodie pocket, "Let's hang out then?" "Let me grab my things." He smiles before going back in the apartment.
My heart aches knowing that he lives with- whoever that was. He doesn't deserve that kind of treatment, he's such a pure heart.
"Okay." He walks out smiling, "So what are we doing?" He takes the lead, walking down the side walk. I struggle to keep up with his long legs.
"Just hanging out," i run to his side, "Can you slow down, Tae?" "Oh sorry," he stops walking and looks down, "I'm just eager to get away from home i guess."
"I'm sorry." I grab his hand, "Do you want to talk about it?" Looking down at our hands i can see his jaw tighten, and he shakes his head.
I can feel his grip tighten around my hand as his eyes move up to meet mine. "I just want to forget about everything but you right now," he smiles, "Is that okay?"
I can feel a bright red tint raising to my cheeks as he takes a small step towards me. "Of course, Tae."
Another boxy smile invades his face and my heart stutters. We start walking again, keeping our hands in each others.
"I see you got your nails done." he smiles down at me, "Yeah," i sigh, "They're a bit long, but i got to choose the design so." "They're pretty."
His comment makes me feel warm inside, "Thank you." I stop walking when we come to a bench in the park.
It's a small park in the middle of the apartment buildings, but kids are never out here so its nice and quiet. "You have makeup on too huh?"
I sit down in the bench and nod, "Charlie said i look good with it on," i shrug, "She likes my new style." He frowns a bit, still standing.
"What's wrong," i laugh nervously, "You don't like it?" I can see him take a deep breath as he looks away, "I just don't think these things should matter."
"What things?" I look up at him nervously. "Clothes," he points at me as he talks, "Nails, makeup, shoes." He chuckles, "It's nice i guess, but in the end you're always the same person no matter what brand you wear."
I feel like everything stops.
How can one human be so beautiful?
But not just on the out side- but on the inside.
"Hey i heard Charlie is setting you up with Jungkooks sister." I keep my eyes on him and he nods, "They want me to go with her to homecoming-" "Don't go." I blurt out unintentionally.
I can see that he's a bit surprised, but he only smiles, "I wasn't planning on it." His thumb strokes over the back of my hand and i get butterflies in my stomach.
~
Walking back to our building i can't help wish there were more hours in the day. The fleeting sunlight chased us out if the park and i curse it.
He walks me up to my apartment, but before he can say bye i open the door, "Do you want to come in," i look at him with hopeful eyes, "I can order a pizza or something."
"Won't your mom be mad?" He looks in the apartment with weary eyes. "She's not home." I can feel my stomach turn as the words pour out of my mouth.
Smiling he nods and we walk inside the small apartment. "It's not much," i sigh, "But its home." "Mine looks the same," He chuckles and sits on the sofa, "A bit more furniture but."
I scoff at his words grabbing the house phone, "What do you like on your pizza?" I wait for a response as i look for the pizza place number.
Looking back at him i can see his eyes trailing my body, from head to toe. They shoot up to meet mine and my breath hitches, "Tae?"
Without answering he stands up and makes his way to me, with every step my heart beat picks up. Grabbing the phone from me he whispers, "I'm not in the mood for pizza."
I can feel his warm breath on my face and my cheeks go pink. Without another word his hands make their way to my waist, pulling me closer to him-
Our lips meet.
My eyes lids fall to cut off my vision as a strong wave of chills run down my body. I kiss him back without hesitating and i can feel him smile into it.
Moving his hands down to my legs, he picks me up, my arms going around his neck as he carries me to my bedroom.
