Chapter Four - Prince Charming

At the peak of dawn the sun was just about to rise. Creating the beautiful harmonious colours in the sky.

The pink and orange colours stood out the most in the sky. Just before dawn can break.

Little hands were on the window of her room looking at the sky. Ri would always wake up early just to see the sun rise. Today is a special day for her.

It's not every day you turn ten. As she looked out of the window , she was thinking about whether she would have a good day or not because her parents were always over protective of her. She had little freedom to do as she pleases.

Unknown to her that there is a person who is dying to see her.

Ri's pov

The birds were chirping singing beautiful songs.

I had just finish eating my birthday cake. I love chocolate cake. It is so delicious.

Today was the day I was born so mother and father can not refuse. I can finally go to the forest and spend time with nature. Oh , how I missed it so much.

As I was walking through the flower valley. I noticed all the flowers were blooming. What is beautiful scene ?

Remember the wolf that saved me a few years ago. I want to see him to thank him. If he had not saved me. I would have been killed and never make it to see my own tenth birthday.

The farther I walk into the forest I hope to come across him. How do I find him?

The rose garden was on ed of my favourite places to visit. The smell was so nice. The roses were so pretty. They came in all shapes and sizes. Smelling the gentle fragrance of the roses I leave to find wolffy.

I hope I can get his attention. I really want to spend my birthday with him. I owe him my life. Suddenly I feel...

Lucas's pov

I can smell her. The older she gets the more her scent calls me. From a baby her scent was mild but as older she gets its going to become stronger.

The can sense something is wrong. I change into my wolf form as fast as I can and I run to her. I was scared , what if she was in danger?

As I approached her. I noticed that unworthy wolf again. The same one who attacked her years ago.

I was growling.My blood was boiling. Fear radiated from that wolf. I was about to kill him when Ri stopped me.

"Please do not kill him wolffy! You are the good wolf so you should not kill others!" If only she knows what a real monster I am.

I leave the neck of the wolf. It runs aways fast as the speed of lightning. As the wolf ran way , I  walked towards Ri.

She embraced me. It felt so nice. Until I noticed her tears and how she grabbed my fur.

"Oh , wolffy! Thank you for saving me again! I was so scared!" Ri said as she hugged me tighter.

I licked away her tears. She should not cry on her birthday. Holding her hand I noticed that it was warm so changing back into my human form.

I put my hand on her forehead. She was burning up.

Ri's pov

I felt dizzy and sick. I felt wolffy disappear but I vision is blurred.

I noticed the figure of a man holding me. The last thing I could see was his face.

He looked like prince charming.

I could not keep my eyes opened. Sleep took control of me.

Lucas's pov

She fell asleep on my shoulder. Walking in the direction of her house. As we were walking I noticed that her long hair was over her cute face. The tucked it behind her ears.

Her hair was so soft. My manly hands touched her cheeks. I caressed her face. My lips reached met her forehead creating is soothing feeling.

We finally reach her house. Making my way towards her room. I put her down to cover her. Before I can leave. I give her a birthday present.

"Happy birthday !" I whispered into her ears.

I put a necklace with a red rose around her neck. It was beautiful just like her. I write a note as usual.

'Please! Keep it close to you.' With that I disappear.
