Chapter One - Him

The moon was outshining its gorgeous rays of beaming light. There were no signs of any clouds disturbing the starry sky.

The night has always been this breathtaking. The moonlight hit the face of the vicious king sitting on his throne.

He has all the wealth money can buy. All the power that can be obtained. But alone he was. It has been centuries till his birth but he still does not have someone special to call his other half. His precious mate.

Sitting in the huge throne room covered by darkness. The only source of light was the moon. It got him thinking does he even have a mate? Surely not, right? Maybe he is meant to be lonely all his life.

Being the king and leader of the largest wolf packs (nct) in the world. They were known as Neopack. He has a reputation for being vicious and ruthless.

From a little boy, he was trained by his father to rule the wolf Kingdom. It has not been easy to be the all mighty king Lucas Wong.

All the obstacles that he had to face made him the king he is today. Fear is a word that speaks his name. The mighty wolf clan of Wong rules over the kingdom. Making Lucas the alpha.

The human world is separated from humans to supernatural beings. The wolf Kingdom can not be seen by the naked eye of a mere human. It's impossible.

The only way to gain access to the kingdom if there is a mate bond. But fate always plays tricks. No wolf has ever been mated to a human. It has never happened before so no one knows the results.

If werewolf males could choose mates it would be humans because werewolf females are too stuck up and they are cold to emotions and feelings.

But mating with humans can also result in half breeds. They are known to be the disgrace of the clan. Matings with humans have some unexpected results.

All that thinking comes to an end when the loud sound of knocking is heard.

Lucas's pov

The loud knock brings me down to earth.

"Come in!" I said rather coldly.

The door opened revealing Ten, one of my co-betas, and my closest friend.

"Sorry to disturb you! I am here to inform you about a last-minute mission in the human world." Said Ten looking at the floor.

"Are they up to nonsense again?" I asked rather annoyed.

"You mean our rival pack!" He asked confused.

"Of course! Who else would I talk about!" Ten really had some blond moments. We locked eyes and without thinking I started laughing.

"I made the alpha laugh." Ten said with a grin on his face.

We always had this brotherly bond that makes him comfortable to be around. People may take me for a killer but I show them to side to me that I want them to see.

Ten knows me well. We are like brothers and I care about him and my pack of brave wolves. I may not show it but I love them all.

Right before leaving Ten says goodbye to his mate. They look so happy. I wonder what I feel like to have a mate.

I can not help but feel a ping in my heart. I still have no mate and that is the sad truth I have to accept. I have had girls before but they never really suited my taste or made me my heart skip a beat.

On our way to the human realm outside our borders, I can smell a scent. It is like it is calling me. This so new and foreign to me. What is this feeling?

I can not hold to urge to run and find the mysterious scent. I told Ten to handle everything. I ran until the scent was stronger.

I was in front of a nature-filled house. I could see from a window. A raven-haired woman holding her small baby her chest. Sitting by the fire to keep both of them warm.

As she stood up I saw the babies face. It was like a connection. A spark. My heart skipped a beat. I knew it. Everything seemed so crystal clear.

She is my mate.
