Chapter Twenty Nine - Safe

The fire all around the building lit up the night sky. Smoke filled the air as the ground shook violently. The crumbling building was seconds away from collapsing.

Just as Ri took her her last step. She closed her eyes wiping away the tears. It hurt to much to even look at Lucas.

Suddenly without a warning she was pushed to of the tall neary broken building.

She prayed for the happiness of Lucas and their son. She wanted to see Luka grow up but that dream was out of her reach now.

She waited to hit the cold ground floor. Waited for an impact that never came much to her surprise.

She was still alive and breathing. Ri opened her eyes in a haste to see the scene relay infront of her.

She saw strong hands gripped on her wrist tightly. Those same hands pulled her to safety.

Secure on the roof top of the building. She saw the rival gang member that once held her life in his hands drowned in his own blood.

Looking at her man who saved her life. He was non other the mighty alpha king Lucas.

But how? He was unable to get up a moment ago so how did he get there so fast.

She looked down at Neopack. They were all getting up standing through the pain. They wound fight till their last breath.

They wound never go down so easy. When Lucas thought all was lost when Ri said those heart aching words to him. That is when he realised that he refused to live without her.

They seemed defeated at first but never underestimate your opponent.

Why do you think Neopack is undefeated? The beginning was child's play. Now the real war begins.

Ri's pov

I ran straight into his arms. Embracing the warmth of his body. I thought I was never going to see him again but fate had other plans for us.

Without wasting a single moment his cold lips touched mine. Our kiss was passionate and had a sense of longing. I could taste the blood on his lips indicating he was bleeding.

Now that I think about it he had deep cuts all over his body. Hot tears rolled down my cheeks. He must be in so much of pain right now. Not only him but Neopack as well.

"Why are you crying?" Lucas asked breaking the kiss while wiping my tears away.

"Are you okay?" I asked caressing his cheeks.

"I am not okay! Do you know I thought I would never see your beautiful face again. I thought I would never taste your lips or body again. I thought I would never see your smile or feel your soft touch. I thought I would never touch your smooth skin or smell your intoxicating scent." Said Lucas while his lips were pressed against my neck.

"I was afraid I would never see you or Luka again!" I said bring tears back to my eyes.

"You do not have to be afraid because you are safe in my arms and I will never let you go not today or ever." He said as his hands rapped along my waist.

Yes , I feel safe and sound in his arms. I have no idea why my heart is beating so fast. Lucas what are you doing to me?

Lucas's pov

I am going to kill that lowly excuse of a man. The building was going to explode but why has it been delayed.

I got Ri out of the building and had her waiting with Winwin while the others finish up his man.

Walking through the dark vile smelling corridor. A heavily guarded door caught my eye. That must be were he is hiding.

I ran towards the man and with one swift swipe of my poison lash they were died in a matter of minutes.

I kicked the door open to reveal my biggest enermy. He looked shocked like he was not expecting me to be alive and here of all places.

"You have made it this far so why not give me a show." Said my worthless rival.

"This ends here and today. I will not spare you. I almost lost my woman because of you." I said as anger pumped through my veins.

"So you are fighting me because of a woman not for your throne!" Shouted the bastard.

"Why else? You worthless piece of trash." I said walking closer towards him.

"Fine, bring it on!" He said while holding a lighter in his hand. He dropped it to the floor releasing a small flame of fire.

"You call out a fire. Let me show you what fire really is." I said releasing my massive waves of blue fire burning all of his man to ashes in the process.

"Just you and me now!" I said as my inner wolf came to power.

This was a mighty battle of wolves. I finally got him were I wanted him. My sharp nails dug into his fur cutting deeper ripping of his skin.

My canine fangs snapped his neck in half. This was now he faced his tragic end by my hands.

Outside the building where Ri stood she seemed so distressed.

"Please come out quickly!" She called out to me.

"I am here, my dear!" I said as she ran into my arms holding me closer to her.

"We are now leaving sweetheart!" I said as I carry her in my arms.

Opon arriving at the castle I now lay on the bed with my lady attending to my wounds.

"Does it hurt?" Ri asked bandaging my chest and playing with my washed hair.

"You think little scratches like this would hurt!" I said reaching for her lips with my own.

"What hurts is not having you!" I said as my lips sucked on her neck.

My fingers roamed feeling the soft curves of her body. My hands pulled down her night dress exposing her breast.

My mouth reached for her nimple. The creamy taste of milk took over my senses.

She was just so perfect. She was absolutely unforgettable.

I looked into her eyes and remembered I would never force myself on her again.

She did hate me after all.

I held myself back and was about to leave the room when she grabbed my hand.

"Please stay with me!" Called Ri.

How could I  ever leave her alone? Today of all days. She was so vulnerable and afraid. How could I be so selfish?

I brought her small figure closer to me. Holding her close while stroking her long strands of hair.

"I told you that I will never leave you." I said as my lips pressed against her forehead.
