Chapter Thirty One - Leaving

The dark fluffy clouds burst in the dull sky above. Letting loose the running droplets of water.

Lucas held Ri's fist tightly almost breaking it with such force as he dragged her through the long corridor of the cold castle.

He threw her small figure outside the castle gate. Resulting in her falling to the wet floor.

She looked Lucas in the eyes as tears clouded her vision. She could not believe that he threw out of the castle and out of his heart.

"Please, do not do this!" Begged Ri balling her eyes out tugging to his feet.

"Look! I never want to see you again! I unfortunately no longer love, need or want you! There is no place for you in my castle so get lose." Said Lucas coldly raising his tone.

This is the first time he was showed her his cold side.

"But you said you loved me do how could you leave me like this?" Asked Ri no longer wanting to believe his horrible words.

"That you are mistaken. For I love another and she is not you! Or will ever be you." Said Lucas pulling his feet away from her touch.

With those final words Lucas turned his back on her. Ri the woman who he once loved. The same girl who he took everything that she deared away in a single second with looking back.

He walked to the castle door to embrace a young woman in his arms. As he peck the woman's lips she let out a nasty smirk to Ri.

The rain drenched Ri's small body as hot tears rolled down her cheeks. The sky cried ever more feeling her pain. Now she was utterly alone. She lost not only her son but the man she loved too. How did everything get to this point?

With a flash of lightning and a roar of thunder she opened her eyes.

This was only a nightmare and that is what it shall remain.

Ri's pov

Tears flooded my vision as I realised that was only a horrible nightmare. But it felt so real!

Will he ever leave me alone like that? Will he turn his back on me? Will he ever forget me and my love for him?

I really can not stomach the thought of losing him to another woman. I can not stand the thought of being away from him not now or forever.

I cried harder vividly remembering glimpses of that terrible dream. More tears poured down my face as I held Luka closer to my heart.

Suddenly a finger caressed my cheek wiping a tear away. Lucas lifted my chin gently trying to look into eyes.

"Why are you crying?" He asked concerned at my sudden tears.

"It is nothing. Please go back to sleep!" I said as my chest tightened. 

"It can not be nothing! Was it a nightmare?" Asked Lucas as his thumb traced down my trembling lips.

"Yes, it was! The nightmare was so traumatizing. I hope it never comes true. I never want to experience anything like that ever again!" I said sobbing into his broad chest.

"You do not have to worry. I will protect you. You do not have to be afraid as long as I am here." He said while kissing the tears aways.
