The castle was filled with energy. The preparations for the ceremony. The moon was glowing brightly in the night sky.
It was almost time for the full moon. Meaning the king is going to be mated. The pack has waited for thousands of years for this day.
In Lucas's room, Ri was getting ready for the ceremony. Her hair was beautifully done. She had an up style with curls coming down.
It was just like a wedding in the human realm but mating comes with vows that can never be broken.
With her wedding dress on Ri was thinking of she would be free from this monster. Little did she know that a new chapter in her life was unlocked now.

Lucas's pov
The sight of her in that wedding dress made my heart flutter. Today is the day she finally becomes mine till death do us part. Oh, how I waited for this day.
The whole kingdom was present for the mating ceremony. There stood one of the elders with whom I share a special bond. When I thought I would never find my mate. He was the one who gave me advice.
Flashback (a hundred years ago)
"Young alpha please do not worry. You will find her when the time is right." Said elder hawk.
"But how long more will I have to wait? The latest wolf can get a mate is five hundred years of age. I am one thousand and nine hundred years old in the wolf relum. I am the alpha no less. Why?" I said in total despair.
"That one means that your mate is that special to be worth waiting that long for. The moon goddess brings two different souls together to create a strong bond. Have patience, your majesty! She will come soon and when she does you will forget how long you waited for." That was the advice that I needed to hear.
End of flashback
The moon was at its peak. It was now time. We have to make our way to the sacred moonstone that sat on a golden pedestal with a garden surrounding it.
All around was heavenly water that we could see the reflection of the glorious moon. A glass bridge connection the royal garden to our sacred Oasis.
This holy place is where we worship the moon goddess. Once we neal before the moonstone the elders make us take our vows.
" I vow to be loyal to you and love you till forever come in health and sickness. In joy and pain. In good and bad times. Till death do us part." I said while looking into Ri's brown orbs.
She looked so beautiful right now. The moonlight brushing against her skin. I really am lucky to have her. I remembered what elder hawk said to be before. She really is worth it.
Ri's pov
" I vow to be loyal to you. To think of you and your pack before I do anything audacious. I vow to care for you and be a good wife." I said while making eye contact with Lucas.
" Alpha king Lucas Wong, do you take Ri to be your queen, wife, and mate!" Asked one of the elders.
Without even thinking he answered.
"I do!" Said Lucas.
Now it was my turn. I hope I can do this.
"Ri, do you take Lucas Wong to be your alpha, king, and mate." I really wanted to say no.
I much I as tried to speak the words did not want to come out.
"I do!" I said feeling heartbroken.
"Now you may kiss the bride and seal the bond." Said the elder.
Lucas moved closer to me. I leaned forward and planted a chaste kiss on my lips. I this not the first time he kissed me but it was different. Maybe with all of his pack and kingdom watching us.
I could feel his breath on my neck and it sent tingles down my spine. 'Seal the bond' I wonder what that means. I will find out now. His lips pressed against the skin of my neck. His tongue licked the place where he saw fit. It freaks me out.
"Sorry and stay still." He whispered in my ear.
Lucas kissed my skin once more and bit down breaking the barriers of skin. Releasing my red blood into his mouth. He looked into my eyes before drinking again.
"So sweet!" Said Lucas licking the last drop of blood left.
