Chapter Twenty Four - Time

The moon smiled brightly adorning the beautiful starry night sky. Shining its glorious rays into the cloudless sky.

Lucas stared at his mesmerising sleeping mate. He just returned from a strategy meeting because the attacks seem to be getting more frequent even if they were not directly.

His heart aches at the thought of losing Ri or his pup. Fear consumed his thoughts as he place a chaste kiss on her stomach feeling his pup's calls and energy.

He realised from the day she came into his life that he can not live without her. He will not live without her. He banished all negative ideas that were roaming around in his mind.

He looked at her angelic sleeping face and a hearty smile could be seen. She is truly drop dead gorgeous whether she is awake or sleeping. Ri , his innocent wife.

She is so pure and virtuous. She is the embodiment of perfection and beauty. His fair queen. His precious mate. She is the only woman who has a place in his heart.

The only woman that he loves to the whole universe and back. He would give up everything even his own life for her. She is his other half. His soul mate. She is only his. Only his.

Lucas's pov

I can bare the weight of the whole world on my shoulders as long as I have her. Loving her feels like it redeems me from all my sins.

She is the only one who can grant me the joy of being a father. I can hardly wait for the moment my pup comes into this world. All my happiness lies with her. My lovely Ri.

I loved how long her luscious brown locks are. They elegantly spreadacross the bed. I love the beautiful features of her face and body. Her soft lips. Her smooth skin. Her ravishing curves. Her melting touch. Her mesmerising brown eyes. She was heavenly gifted.

Oh , how god has blessed her with beauty. The strong smell of milk reached my nose. My eyes trailed down from the face to her big round breast that was fill with delicious milk for my pup.

My pup could come at any moment since Ri is in her ninth month. Her scent its so intoxicating. How I longed to see her bare body! To see my pup's growing form.

Without thinking I undressed her pregnant sleeping form. She was so small and fragile compared to me. That makes the need to protect her everlasting. My eyes were greeted with the sight of her ravishing bare body.

She still had a beautiful figure. They say in pregnancy a woman looks uglier but that is not the case with Ri. With each passing day her beauty grows. My hot breath lingers on her smooth skin.

When my lips touch her the skin of her chest she awakens with a shocked expression.

"What are you doing? Please get off me!" Said Ri looking uncomfortable.

"What if I do not? I just wanted to see my pup." I said whispering into her ear with my hot breath.

"You should have asked me. I cannot deprive you from seeing my baby!" Said Ri trying to get out of my grip.

"Your baby!" I asked while smirking.

"Yes my baby! I am the one who is carrying the baby inside me for nine months not you!" Said Ri breaking away eye contact between us.

"Who put the baby there?Me!" I said as I got off her bare form as she blushed fifth shades of red.

"Yes you did!" She said in a quiet sad tone.

"Are you happy?" I asked concerned.

"Yes I am. Feeling our child gives me happiness. Seeing our baby gives me joy. I love my baby already." Said Ri pulling up the soft sheets to cover her bare body.

Although she smiled sadness could be seen in those chestnut eyes of hers.

"I mean with our union." I asked as my heart tightens.

Suddenly alone tears rolls down her cheek.

"How can I be happy when you always force yourself on me?" Said Ri as she started to cry.

"Please do not cry! Will you be happy if I never do that again?" I asked as she nodded her head with a soft smile adorning her beautiful face.

I never want to make her cry again. I will do anything for her to be happy. Anything in my power.

Ri's pov

The sunlight warmed the grass I sat on. It was now midday and I feel restless for some reason. I have been having pains from the early hours of the morning. I felt scared.

Large hands pulled me to their owners solid embrace. Lucas kissed my stomach with his perfect lips making me smile.

Suddenly a stabbing sensation could be felt around my lower back. This time it was too painful to ignore.

"My water just broke!" I choked out at Lucas who looked shocked.

"What? Now!" He said not knowing what to do.

"Yes. The baby is coming." Finally it is time for what we awaited so long for. Our baby.
