Chapter Twenty One - Existence

The sun brightly shined in the midday sky. Lucas stared into the shocked brown orbs of his beautiful mate. Breaking the eye contact with her.

Lucas sent a nasty glare to the one that revealed this wife's pregnant state. She herself did not even know it. Lucas wanted to tell Ri himself but this fool spoilt everything.

The young wolf backed away in intimidation. Angering the alpha king means you have to suffer this raft. And that is worst that a bad nightmare. No worst than actually burning in hell. Cursing that idiotic wolf in his mind. He turned to hear his mother's words.

"She is with the alpha's pup. My, that is good news!" Said the mother of the pack.

She was overjoyed that she is going to have a cute grandchild and the pack is going to have an powerful heir. He stared back at his queen.

Ri's deep brown eyes held such disappointment as she looked down refusing to meet his graze.

"Yes, mother! But right now she needs to rest." Said Lucas carrying his wife to their room.

Ri's pov

Expecting. Pregnant. These words were all I could think about. I felt like the world was spinning. Like I was being sucked up by the earth. I do not even know how I feel right now.

On one hand I am happy. I love my baby already. I know it's existence will make me delighted. In turth I always wanted children. I love and adore them. I am so blessed that God has gifted me with this precious gem.

On the other hand I am terribly upset at Lucas. Why does he make me feel like this? He forces himself on me just as he please.

Yet I do not even stop him from touching me. The thought of us having a baby together does not make my heart ache. It brings joy to my heart. I hate him then why do I feel this way.

I can not take this. It is all to confusing. I hate him and that is all I will ever allow myself to feel for him.

He has done too much of deeds that caused me pain.Without even noticing the tears came rolling down my cheeks.

"Please do not cry!" Said Lucas trying to wipe the tears away.

"Why do you do this to me?" I said while letting the tears roll down my soft cheeks.

"I was going to tell you everything but never had a chance to do so." Lucas said as his fingers brush through his hair in frustration.

"You are truly a horrible monster. You first kidnapped me and brought me to this place. Then forced me to marry you by threatening to kill my family and end the world. On top of that you had your way with me time and time again. You are a monster. A beast in human form." I said in pure disgust.

His eyes turned red in anger. His ego did not like the words that he was hearing. He held my wrist tight so I could not move. I could feel his hot breath on the skin of my neck.

"Be careful little one. Sometimes your own words can turn against you!" He said as his eyes turned to normal.

"I hate you!" Before I could say anything more I knock interrupted us.

Lucas's pov

He words cut through me and stabbed my heart. She has no idea how much she has hurt me. It is all my fault. I never realised that three small words can wound me like this.

The battle or training scars we not as deep or painful as the words she inflicted on me. My world truly revolves around her.

I opened the door revealing Ten who said the elders wanted to see us. They never called a meeting before.

I walked outside our room to meet the elders all waiting patiently while Ri stood at the entrance of our bedroom door.

"Your majesty! I had a vision. The existence of your son will favour our pack and clan for generations to come. I think it is time to enlighten your queen on the soulbond between you both." Said one of the proud elders.

Maybe she should know about the soulbond or maybe when the time is right...
