Chapter 24: The Plan Part Two

"It's almost night time how do you think Jesse's doing so far?" Chloe asked Lily as she kept her eye on Beca who was still chained up the large tree for most of the day. Lily stopped chanting as she flipped through pages of her book. "He's fine Chloe I made sure Selena left him enough water and food until he turns. We have to move Beca away from the cabins as quickly as we can though. Who knows what Luke will do if he finds her before she gets the chance to turn as well." Chloe nodded as she took her eyes away from Beca to focus on Lily. "So how do we know when he'll be coming? I mean don't get me wrong, but I don't think wooden stakes are gonna get us very far against a hybrid army. Which I still don't understand if they're vampires or werewolves." Chloe said with a confused pout as Selena huffed and rolled her eyes across the room. Lily chuckled as she nodded in agreement with Chloe. "Well I have a witch in secret who is working for him and she's been giving me his location at all times. For our wooden stakes problem I've laced them all with vervine, hopefully that will slow them down enough for Selena and I to finish them off." Chloe nodded with relief as she decided to ask another question. "Okay, but what will I do?" Lily was about to answer her again, but unfortunately Selena beat her to it. "Oh we have a more important role for you cupcake, it's called vampire bait." Lily huffed as she glared at Selena. "No you're not going to be vampire bait trust me Chloe. While we take care of the hybrids all you have to do is sit and wait here. I'm sure Luke will get tired of us sooner or later and make his way to find Beca. Hopefully by then she will already have turned." Chloe sighed as she nodded, even though she didn't get an important job at least she had one. "What happens if one of them gets in here while I'm hiding?" Chloe asked Lily worriedly as Lily dug straight into one of her duffle bags on the couch. "Well not to be one of those witches, but I have a glock with silver bullets for you." Chloe and Selena stood there speechless as they stared at Lily in mild concern. Lily shrugged nonchalantly as she put it on the dining room table. "It was just a suggestion."

As the moon drew closer Beca felt herself become warmer, what was happening to her? "Okay Beca it's almost time for us to move you, can you walk?" Beca nodded as Lily started to unchain Beca quickly. As soon as she was unchained she looked up to the sky to see the moon being covered with dark gray clouds. "It's starting, Beca whatever you hear don't come back until you're fully changed. You won't be any help to us or Chloe otherwise." Beca scoffed at her friend as she made her way towards the woods. "Thanks for the confidence Lily, just keep Chloe safe okay that's all I care about." Lily nodded as she made sure Beca was out of harms way before she started to do a protective enchantment spell around the cabin. Trying to keep Luke out as much as she could until Beca transformed into her true form.

"Well, well, well, looks like the line of original witches blood is finally of some use to you. Now I can't say the same about your grandmother though, I did rip her head off quite some time ago." Lily glared at him in surprise as Luke was now stood a few feet away from her with a devious smile on his face. "Oh I forgot you're not much of a talker are you? Well that's quite alright with me, I don't like my food to talk back to me anyways. Now why don't we skip all of this foreplay and get straight into it, shall we? Give me my protege and maybe you won't share the same fate as your ancestors once did." Lily ignored him as she closed her eyes once more and kept chanting loudly this time. Luke scoffed as he felt something sting in his chest pushing him farther away from her. "I'm a patient man Lily, but even I have a limit. Now why don't you just stop this nonsense and give up? You know what I have, what I've made with my creations blood. You have no chance of making it out of this alive, neither of you do." Selena growled as she sped right next to Lily out of her hiding place making Luke smile at her with his fangs menacingly. "Ah Selena another one of my daughter's conquests, I-" Selena huffed as her eyes went black with warning as she glared at him threateningly. "Cut the bullshit Luke, Beca is long gone from here. You and I both know you're not gonna make it in time to her, better cut your losses now before I rip your heart out of your chest myself." Luke scoffed as he rolled his eyes at the angry brunette. "Well if she's not here then maybe I'll make her come out of wherever she is hiding by finding that little human of hers." Chloe tensed as she saw Luke look behind Selena and Lily where she was peeking from the front window. Chloe gasped as she kneeled back down as she heard Luke laugh. "Now I know you're lying, Beca can't be more than a few feet around here. She wouldn't leave her precious red headed human alone with you two." Selena huffed as she wanted to kill Chloe herself. "Still doesn't matter Luke, have you looked up lately? It's almost the full blood moon, you don't have a chance when Beca transforms. I bet she would gladly rip your head off right where you stand if you even lay a finger on her dunce of a human." Luke growled as his eyes turned black and he bared his fangs at them menacingly. "I don't think you two heard me, get out of my way or face the consequences. It's really that simple darlings." Lily and Selena said nothing as they prepared themselves for an all out blood bath. Luke chuckled as he looked behind himself with a devilish smile as he yelled. "Is the barrier down yet Maddie?! I'm getting quite bored with the two of them!" Lily gasped as Cheryl appeared in front of them with a beaten and bloody Maddie, who was thrown carelessly to the ground by Cheryl herself. "You didn't think we wouldn't find out about your little spy witch did you? She sang like a canary once I was done with her." Maddie gasped in pain as she looked up at Lily with a apologetic look in her eyes. "I'm sorry Lily..." Luke rolled his eyes in boredom as he stepped forward towards Selena and Lily with grace. "Well now that we've all said our pleasantries, let's get to it shall we?" Luke said as he nodded towards Maddie, as Cheryl wasted no time in snapping her neck; making a sickening cracking sound as she fell lifelessly.
