Chapter 26: A Wild Night

"So you basically just tie yourself down here with silver chains? You know I never thought of how miserable this could be." Beca said as Jesse chuckled at her as he had gloves on to chain himself against the wall. "Yeah well since we don't know what's going to happen to you on the full moon tonight, this is our best bet. We can't have you chasing down innocent women in the streets anymore." Beca groaned in embarrassment as Jesse finished chaining himself and then started to undress. "So I'm gonna be naked in a cave underground on a Friday night with my werewolf friend? Where I can't spend the night with my gorgeous girlfriend? You know yeah this is horrible." Jesse rolled his eyes at his friend. "Well now you know how I feel. Every waking moment is complete torture knowing I have to go through this pain over and over again for the rest of my life. I guess the bright side is I don't have to do it alone anymore." Beca smiled at him sadly as she too started to undress herself, changing herself against the wall. "You're always this happy guy on the outside Jesse, I'm sorry I never saw your true pain until now. I don't think I've been a good friend to you or roommate." Jesse shook his head in disagreement as they stood opposite of each other in the dark lit cave. "Hey just because my life is torture, doesn't mean I have to make everyone else's torture too. I want to be happy and one day I will come to terms with this beast inside me, just like you'll have too as well. So my best advice is to just roll with the punches." Beca chuckled as she nodded, the two waiting for the inevitable to happen.

Jesse groaned as he opened his eyes slowly to the sunshine beating down on his face. As soon as he realized where he was he let out a shocked gasp and sat up, looking around at his surroundings. Jesse sat on the dead grass, noticing he was in the middle of nowhere. He looked down at his dirty body to see his hands covered in dry blood. "Beca?" Jesse stumbled up on his two feet as he called Beca's name out and started to walk around the empty field. "Where the hell am I?" Jesse asked himself out loud as all he could see was meadows upon meadows. Luckily he saw a worn out barn not too far up ahead from where he was. Jesse started to make his way towards the barn finding it to be abandoned. Nothing but hay covered the ground as he searched for something to cover himself up with. To his luck only barely torn shorts was at his disposal as he quickly put them on and ventured out of the barn to find the road.

"Princess I don't think you want to go in there, she nearly wiped all of us out last night and if it wasn't for-" Zara huffed at him as she walked past the scared vampire, opening the door herself to find Beca full of silver chains against the wall. Zara's eyes widened as Beca looked like a wild animal as she trashed around and growled loudly as she came near her. Her eyes were completely yellow with a black hue around them, but her veins were still prominent underneath her eyes. Zara remained calm as she approached Beca slowly. "Princess, don't!" The guard shouted as Zara put her hand up to effectively quiet him. "I've been reading up on original hybrids Jake there is no reason to worry, she won't hurt me or you for that matter. Original hybrids are a curious breed I must admit, but Beca is special. She's the first of her kind in a hundred centuries. The reason you're still here is because she recognized you. Unchain her now, I'll prove it to you." Jake swallowed nervously as he went up to a thrashing Beca as he quickly unchained her, flashing away from them with his speed. As Zara expected Beca had no interest on hurting them as Beca grabbed her throat tightly and sniffed her relentlessly. Zara smiled as Beca growled loudly as the blonde ran her hand down her bloodied chest. "She's getting used to feeling all of this energy she's never had before. It's called the hybrid brain, she only wants two things as of the moment. Blood and sex." Beca grunted as her appendage started to harden underneath Zara's touch. As Zara reached down to grab Beca's hardened cock, Beca roughly pushed her away from her. Zara's eyebrows raised in shock as Beca roared at her defiantly. Jake chuckled as he threw a blood bag at Beca's feet, the brunette quickly grabbed it and bit into the bag. Beca drank the blood messily as Jake threw her a couple more bags before escorting the princess out of the room. "She may recognize you Zara, but she has only one heart for a certain human. No matter what brain she's thinking with, she's always going to choose Chloe." Zara rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest in embarrassment. "Once she comes to her senses find me and make sure you get her some clothes. I don't want anyone looking at what's mine." Jake tried not to laugh as Zara left the underground building as he eyed Beca from the two way glass mirrors. He was ecstatic to hear Beca had changed from when he left her. Beca finally shared his views on human lives and this Chloe Beale is the one he has to thank for it.
