Y/N's POV

I was stuck in a major traffic jam and I was annoyed by it. I didn't necessarily have anywhere I needed to be, but I didn't want to be here. Being alone with time to think only makes me think about Normani. Despite us ending things mutually, it doesn't mean that I don't miss her and think about her often. I think about all the good times we had together. Of course there were bad times as well, but it doesn't do well to dwell on the bad times.

After about a half hour, I was finally passed the traffic jam and on my way home. As I pulled up outside of my house, I heard the radio talking about an earthquake that just happened. I frowned to myself because I didn't even feel it. I sat in my car with the engine off and thought about some things. Most of those things had to do with Normani. What if the earthquake had been a bad? What if the world was ending and we only had a very limited time to live? What would I do?

I was in the city and stopped at a red light. As I was bored and waiting for the light to turn green, the earth started shaking violently jolting the car back and forth. I looked out the window and saw people running and screaming as glass fell from tall buildings. People started driving away as fast as they could causing some accidents. I looked around in fear of what to do.

" It's the end of the world!" Someone screamed as they ran by. I stared at them in shock. I'm sure it's not the end of the world, but what if it is? One person popped into my head at that moment and I made my decision. If this really is the end of the world, there's no one else I'd rather spend it with than Normani. Trying to avoid people and cars as well as I could, I quickly drove off trying to get out of the city. People were getting hit with glass and big pieces of buildings were falling on cars. I was doing pretty well and almost out of the city until a car came crashing into the side of my car. My car spun a little and came to a stop on the side walk. I groaned as I looked out my window. My ears were ringing a little and my vision a little blurry, but for the most part, I was okay. My head and my shoulder were the ones that were hurting. I touched my head which was the main source of my pain and felt something warm. I pulled my hand away and saw blood. I groaned and tried to get out of the car. It's not safe in the car right now because of people and falling things. I pushed open the door with my good arm and pushed my way out of the car. The ground was still shaking violently and something fell near me causing me to move into action. I started running as well I could. I was pushed by people a few times making it really hard. My phone started ringing in my pocket and when I took it out, I noticed that it was Normani and I answered right away.

" Mani, where are you?" I asked her and I came to a stop hoping it wouldn't be a bad idea. I had to catch my breath and to rest a moment. I could barely hear her so stopping would be easier.

" I'm at home, but I don't know if I should stay here. What if the house collapses?" Normani asked me and I could hear the panic in her voice.

" Stay home. Don't leave. I'm downtown and it's insane here. People are hitting each other and people are dying." I said to her and I heard her gasp.

" Are you okay?" I heard her ask and I could hear the worry in her voice.

" I will be. I'm trying to get to you, but it's hard without a car. It's even harder to run." I said with a sigh. I need another way to get to her without running. I looked around me and I saw a bike on the sidewalk across the street. Someone must have abandoned it when the earthquake started. It's weird that the earthquake hadn't stopped yet. I looked around and ran across the street as fast as I could to avoid cars and people as best as I could.

" Y/N, I'm scared." I heard her voice break and I immediately felt sad.

" I know Love, but I'm on my way. I don't know what's happening, I'm coming okay. I'm going to try to ride a bike." I said to her and I heard her sigh.
