Lover (Normani/You)

Y/N's POV

I tiredly parked my car and made my way inside our condo building. I just wanted to lay down and cuddle with my beautiful fiancée. I got into the elevator and went upstairs to our flat. When I got to our floor, I walked to our flat and opened the door. I let out a sigh of relief and I could smell something delicious. I threw my bag down by the front door and hung up my jacket. I own a very successful business, but that means long hours and lots of paperwork.

" Babe?" I called out as I loosened the tie around my neck. I saw my fiancée walk around the corner with a big smile on her face. At the sight of her, my smile turned into a face eating grin. She walked up to me and I immediately pulled her in for a kiss.

" How was your day?" She asked me and I let out a sigh.

" Tiring. I had to stay late because there was a ton of paperwork." I said and she nodded in understanding.

" I have a surprise for you." She said as she grabbed my hand and pulled me to our dining table that was decorated beautifully with candles and rose petals.  The lighting in the room was dim which gave the whole room a romantic feel. She pulled me over to a chair and gently pushed me down in it.

" You didn't have to do all this." I said and she leaned down to place a sweet kiss on my lips.

" I know I didn't. I wanted to because I love you." She said as she stepped behind me and started to massage my shoulders.

" I love you too and thank you." I said as I let out a soft moan at the incredible feeling of her messaging my shoulders. I had so much tension in my shoulders and immediately my body relaxed at her touch. I didn't want her to stop, but I knew I would soon fall asleep if she didn't. I reached up and placed my hands on hers.

" I love the massage, but if you don't stop, I'm going to fall asleep." I said to her and she chuckled.

" I should go check on the food anyway." She said with a peck to my lips.

" Let me help." I said standing up from my seat, but she pushed me right back down. She gave me a pointed look and I chuckled. I put my hands up in surrender and let her go to the kitchen.

I looked around our shared flat and saw the pictures hanging on the wall of the two of us. I really can't believe that I ended up with someone so beautiful. She could have anyone else, but she chose me. She's beautiful in every way.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Normani placed two plates of shrimp fettuccine alfredo on the table. I smiled and placed a kiss on her lips. She also places two glasses of red wine on the table. She sat down on her chair and smiled at me. I noticed that music was playing softly in the background.

" Dig in. I know it's your favourite." She said and I nodded in appreciation. I moaned at the taste of the pasta causing the girl beside me to laugh.

" I'll take that as a good sign." She said and I nodded enthusiastically. I proceeded to tell Normani about my day and how busy it was. I love when the two of us get to spend time together like this. Sometimes, I come home late so we don't get to spend as much time together as I would like. I watched as she told me about her day. I leaned back in my chair while sipping on the wine and admiring the beauty that is Normani. From her beautiful eyes, to her gorgeous lips and curves and everything else. I'm so lucky to have her in my life and I will forever be grateful.

" Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked me with a hint of amusement in her eyes.

" You're just so beautiful and I can't believe that you're mine." I said with a smile on my lips. She looked down at the table with a blush on her cheeks. I chuckled to myself and leaned towards her. I gently lifted her chin and placed a sweet kiss on her lips.

" I love you and thanks for all of this." I said to her and she smiled at me. She placed her palm against my cheek and stared deeply into my eyes.

" I love you too." She said to me. Those words immediately sparked butterflies in my stomach. I would never get tired of hearing those words from her. I tuned into the song that was playing softly in the background and got up from my seat to turn it up. I replayed the song and walked back over to my lovely fiancée. I held my hand out to her with a large grin on my face.

" Dance with me." I said to her and she slowly put her small hand in mind. I lifted her from her seat and led her into our spacious kitchen. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I pulled her as close as I could and rested my forehead against hers as we started to rock back and forth to the music.

We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January

As we slow danced to the song and held each other close, my only wish was that I could be this close to her forever. There's no one else I'd rather be with in this moment or forever than the beauty standing in front of me.

Pictures of when we were young would hang on the wall
We would sit on the stoop
I'll sing love songs to you when we're eighty

I can't wait to grow old with her and have kids of our own. We can have pictures all over our walls of us and our family. Although I can't sing, Normani can and I love her voice. I could listen to her sing for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.

As the song played, I sang to her. I didn't care at the moment if I had a bad voice, I just wanted to let her know how I feel about her.

As the song came to an end, I twirled Normani around and dipped her down. She smiled at me and I placed a kiss on her lips. I lifted her slowly with our lips still attached. I pulled away from the kiss and pulled her in for a tight hug.

" I can't even explain how much I love you. I never imagined I would love someone so much. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." I said to Normani as we pulled away. Tears built in her eyes and she smiled at me. She had a huge grin on her face at my words.

" You don't understand how much I love you. I'm so freaking happy that I have you." She said to me and I kissed her again. I picked her up in my arms and spun her around happily while she giggled in delight.  I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist. Now, I'm going to go make love to my beautiful fiancée to show her how much I appreciate her and the surprise tonight.

She will always be the love of my life and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
