Y/N's POV

I was working in the small cafe near my school. I had to work quite often to make sure that I could afford to live on campus. I wasn't receiving much help from my parents. It's because they don't have the money to help me. We live in a small town where rent is pretty cheap and everyone kind of looks out for each other. It also means that everyone is always up in everyone's business. I couldn't stand to be there anymore. I wanted to do something better with my life and I wasn't going to get it there.

As I was cleaning tables, I was waiting to see the beautiful girl that always comes in. I knew her name was Ally because of her name on her cup and she comes quite often. I always write my number on the cup, hoping she would call or text me, but she never does. I went back behind the counter and put the cloth away. My coworker went on break so I took over for cash. I heard the bell on the door chime and I looked up to see the beauty walking towards me. I smiled immediately as she walked up to the counter.

" Hello there stranger. Will it be your usual?" I said with a smile and she rolled her eyes slightly.

" Oh, come on. When are you going to give me a chance? I know that you see my number on your cup. I promise I'm a good person." I said to her and she sighed. We go back and forth like this quite often.

" If I agree to go on a date with you, will you stop bothering me?" She asked me and I nodded with a smile on my face.

" Fine." She said with a sigh. Even though she seemed a little hesitant, I could see a hint of a smile on her face. I gave her the coffee on the house as I would pay for it and made it for her. I handed it to her with my number on it again and gave her a big grin.

" Thank you." She said and walked out of the shop. I grinned to myself and got back to work.

Later that night, she texted me and we set up a date for tomorrow night. I'm incredibly excited to go on this date. I know she's beautiful, but I want to know more about her. I went to sleep that night with a smile on my face.

When it came time for our date, I made sure I looked nice and presentable and left my house. I got to Ally's small house and she was waiting outside for me. She looked absolutely beautiful in a white dress. I got out and greeted her with a hug. She gave me a small smile and I opened the door for her.

The two of us went out for dinner and I can definitely say that I enjoy her company. Throughout the night, I could tell that she was holding herself back from fully enjoying herself. I didn't comment on it though.

When the date was over, I drove her back home and walked her to the door.

" I had fun with you tonight, Ally." I said to her and she gave me a small smile.

" I had fun tonight as well, but I feel like I have to be honest with you. I don't think this can happen again." She said to me and I frowned at that.

" Uh, okay. Can I ask why? Was it something I did?" I asked her and she sighed.

" No, you were great. I'm just not really looking for a relationship right now." She said to me and I sighed to myself. I looked down at the floor. As much as it sucks, I have to respect her decision.

" I won't lie, I am a little disappointed, but I respect your decision." I said to her and she gave me a small smile in return.

" Thank you for agreeing to the date. I guess I'll see you around." I said to her as I placed a kiss to her cheek. I gave her a smile before I left her house.

As the days passed by, she didn't come into the coffee shop at all and I felt disappointed. I went on with my work anyway until the bell dinged and I saw her again. She walked up to the counter awkwardly and gave me an awkward smile.
