Hello. Yes, I'm alive.

What a surprise, huh? Um, so it's been a while since I've updated, even thought I promised myself i wouldn't take too long in updating but oh well.

So here's another update.

I just want to shout out my boi Boss_of_the_World , who not only commented the correct answer to last chapter's trivia question, but also inspired me to stop being lazy and go through the one shots I have completed and just frickin post one. Thank you Boss_of_the_World , you're a real one.

So yeah, uh this is the update. It's from a different point of view, but I thought I'd switch things up a bit. I wrote it a long time ago and I revised it to make it slightly less, um, cringy, but lemme know what you guys think . Anyway, yeah.

Jason Grace didn't get jealous easily. But he couldn't help feeling that way whenever he saw Percy and Annabeth. Jason wasn't jealous of Percy because of Annabeth. Jason was jealous of him because of what he had with Annabeth. That one thing Jason didn't have with Piper.

He just wasn't sure exactly what it was. He couldn't help it, though. Whenever he saw Percy and Annabeth, the way they held hands or kissed at random times or just the look in their eyes- he got jealous. He knew it was wrong to feel like that. After everything they'd been through, Percy and Annabeth deserved to be happy more than anyone. Besides, Jason had Piper, and she was awesome.

Still, Jason couldn't help the jealousy. Maybe it was that Percy seemed to be made for Annabeth. He was always there for her, knowing exactly what to say and when to say it, always being exactly what she needed. Percy knew how to cheer her up when she was sad or frustrated, just by walking up to her and kissing her. They just- acted so easily around each other as though they had known each other their whole lives.

Take now, for instance. Percy was sitting on the floor against the deck, Annabeth sitting criss-crossed between his legs with a book in her hands. He was running his fingers through her hair, trying to braid it. Every once in a while, he got bored and tried poking her side or kissing her, trying to get her attention. She would ignore him and he'd go back to playing with her hair. It wasn't what they did, but how they did it that mattered. It seemed like Percy could stay on the floor all day, playing with her curls and watching her eyes skim across the pages, they seemed like the perfect couple. And, really, that's what the were in everyone's eyes. They were perfect for each other. Jason wasn't sure if he believed soul mates exist, but if they did, Percy and Annabeth were definitely soul mates.

When he had first been to Camp Half-Blood and walked around with Annabeth, anyone who saw her gave her a sympathetic look, as if they couldn't possibly imagine what she could be feeling without Percy. When he saw the way they kissed at Camp Jupiter for the first time in months, the love and the pain, he understood why everyone thought they were the perfect couple. Even amnesia couldn't stop Percy from remembering her. He couldn't ignore the look in Piper's eyes whenever she saw Percy and Annabeth together, as if she were wondering if she and Jason could ever have what they had. She was the daughter of the love goddess. Of course she thought about these things.

Jason wished he could be that for her..

But did Pecy have to make being the perfect boyfriend for Piper so hard?

During their stay at Camp Half-Blood, Piper had casually mentioned a story that Ananbeth had told her about her and Percy's one month anniversary. After forgetting about the important date, Percy had more than made up for it by taking her on a romantic date. In Paris.

How in the world was Jason supposed to beat that? He was really making Jason look bad.

And though Piper had tried to be subtle about it, he could hear the slight hopefulness in her voice, like she was really saying, what grand gesture are you going to pull for me?

Jason saw Annabeth wince, close her book and hit Percy in the chest with it for pulling her hair while he laughed. From where he was sitting, Jason managed to read the cover of the book.

A Concise History of Architectural Styles.

History...

Then it occurred to him, a thought so sudden, he felt a shock in his brain.

That's what Percy and Annabeth had.

History.

Of course. Percy and Annabeth had been best friends for four years before they started dating. They knew each other better than they did themselves before they even acknowledged their feelings for each other. They had been in so many world-saving quests and saved each other's lives so many times and shared so many moments together. Jason figured that had to make for an awesome relationship.

It wasn't until Percy looked up from his spot on the deck and raised an eyebrow at Jason that he realised he had been staring at them and that Piper was calling his name.

He was snapped out of his thoughts. He had been leaning on the railing of the Argo II, on guard duty with Piper, openly staring at Percy and Annabeth like a weirdo.

"Sorry, what?" Jason asked.

"I've called your name like 5 times. Are you ok?" She asked, her eyebrows furrowed. Her kaleidoscope eyes caught the sunlight, making them seem lighter.

He nodded. "Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking."

She eyed him wearily. "Okay..."

Jason glanced at Percy, who had gone back to playing with Annabeth's hair. They were the definition of a perfect couple, Jason wanted to be that for Piper.

He had seen the way Piper sometimes glanced at them, her brow furrowed, like she was trying to figure out the secret ingredient for the perfect relationship.

History. The one thing Percy and Annabeth had that made their bond unbreakable.

Jason and Piper had already started to make some of their own. And Jason intended on making more.
