Hi, y'all.

So yeah, I said I was going to write this book like a year (or two, whoops) ago and I have been writing, just not publishing, so yeah. I had a hard time deciding which one to publish first so I just chose the first one I wrote ever. So it's probably not that good (but when has my writing ever been good, am I right? Haha) and it's kinda short, really short actually, but eh, whatever.

So yeah. Here goes.

As Percy rolled onto his side in his small bunk, he could immediately tell something was off.

He opened his eyes and instead of seeing a sleeping Annabeth, he was greeted by an empty bed.

He sat up, beginning to panic. After Tartarus, Percy and Annabeth were hard to separate. They were assigned the same turns for guard duty, they were always at each other's sides, and it wasn't rare for them to sleep in each other's cabins. They never went anywhere without the other. They were attached at the hip, and no one on aboard the Argo II objected. They all knew Percy and Annabeth were coping and they gave them space.

Waking up without Annabeth, Percy felt like he was back at the Wolf House, alone and not sure of anything, but one thing, he had to find her.

Annabeth wasn't in the cabin at all, Percy realized. His eyes roamed the dark room, stopping at the door, which was slightly open. Light streamed in from the hallway. He got up, not bothering to even put a shirt on.

Percy pulled the door open and walked quietly down the hallway, towards the stairs.

He would've walked past her, when he noticed the lights in the mess hall were on.

He found her sitting at the table with her head in her hands.

Her shoulders were shaking slightly, her blond curls spilled down her back. A glass of water was placed in front of her. He walked towards her, the floorboards creaking under him. Her head snapped up, her grey eyes fixed in a glare. Her gaze softened when she saw it was him. Her eyes were bloodshot and he realized she had been crying.

Percy hated seeing Annabeth cry, and he hated it even more of he couldn't do anything to stop it. For as long as he had known her, Percy had only seen Annabeth cry a few times. He knew she hated crying in front of people, he knew she thought it made her look weak. Percy wished he could do something to solve every problem for her, anything to get her to stop crying.

Her voice trembled when she said, "Hey."

"Hey," He sat next to her, "What's wrong?"

"I had a dream," she said. He instantly knew what she meant. It hadn't been long since they had escaped Tartarus and they both got nightmares on a daily basis.

"You should've woken me," He scooted his chair closer to hers.

"I didn't want to bother you. You were on guard duty all night and- " She said.

"Hey, it doesn't matter if I was up all night or not. You could never bother me. C'mere." He spread his arms.

She rolled her eyes, but sat in his lap, nonetheless. Percy kissed her cheek lightly, tucking a curl behind her ear.

He could instantly tell something was still bothering her. He knew her more than anyone and he knew she wouldn't look him in the eye if something wasn't right.

"That's not it, though, is it?"

Her shoulders sagged. She looked away and didn't say anything for a while.

Finally, she said, "She got into my mind. Gaea, I mean. She... she said it was my fault you had to go through Tartarus. That it was my fault Bob and Damasen had to stay down there. And... ," tears started to fall from her eyes, "maybe she's right. Maybe-"

He turned her chin to look at him, "Annabeth, that's not true. Bob and Damasen are heroes and we have to make their sacrifice worth it by winning this war. And... I chose to fall with you. You know I would do it all over again for you. If I had let you go, my life would have been more of a hell than Tartarus without you."

"As long as we're together," she murmured. Her eyes searched his before she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. She was still crying, but it wasn't out of sadness or guilt.

"Please don't cry, I hate seeing you cry," He said when they pulled away.

She laughed a little, wiping her cheeks. She wrapped her arms around him in a hug. He placed his chin on her head.

"I love you," she whispered.

Percy smiled. Sure, she had said she loved him countless times before, but he would never get tired of hearing her say it.

"I love you, too," he kissed her forehead.

They stayed like that for a while, holding each other. Annabeth felt her eyelids getting heavy and she could tell Percy was still tired, no matter how much he denied it.

Before long, they fell asleep in each other's arms.

When it was time for Frank to rest after guarding the ship, he walked into the mess hall, hoping to grab something to eat. When he saw Percy and Annabeth asleep, he froze and chuckled. Shaking his head, he turned around and walked to his cabin.

So yeah. What do you think? I have more interesting and longer ones, I promise and hopefully I'll remember to publish them.

Anyway, bye.
