Hey hey heyyy.

So, first of all, it's been a while, my dudes. I realize that some of y'all have wanted a part four to this au and I was stressing tf OUT trying to come up with a way to end it neatly and to not disappoint y'all, which is why it took so long to post.

Also, this part is pretty special to me because one of favorite authors LoveLifeBooks4eva  literally BLESSED me with her help and went above and beyond to help me come up with a satisfying ending. So the part is kind of like a mashup of our thoughts and ideas and writing styles and - ahh. I'm extremely grateful for her help and it was a literal HONOR writing with her. If you don't know who LoveLifeBooks4eva  is, check her profile out RIGHT NOW. She's the author of one of my favorite percabeth series ever, AND she's currently writing another Percabeth au book, which you should go read.

Also, shoutout to cambam64  for commenting the correct answer to last post's trivia question! Keep up the good work, y'all are too nice 😚

And I just wanna mention: last time I updated, this story was at 16k reads, and now we're at 22k, which is crazy but thank you so much! <3

Okay I'll shut up now :)

Annabeth woke up a few hours later, groaning when she remembered the book report she still had to write for her English class..

She muttered a curse under her breath,, remembering that she'd promised Percy to text him when she got home. She dashed down the stairs, and checked her jacket for her phone. She found it on the coffee table, which was weird. When had she-?

She shrugged it off, expecting to see a text from Percy asking if she was okay. She frowned when she realized he hadn't texted her.

Her fingers tapped against the keyboard and she texted him, made it home without getting kidnapped :)

Annabeth sat on the couch as she waited for his response, her eyes lighting up when he started typing. He typed for a long time, and she wondered if he'd ask her to meet him somewhere before Monday. She couldn't hide her disappointment when he simply replied, okay.

Maybe he's busy, Annabeth thought to herself as she walked into the kitchen to make herself a sandwich. He had mentioned something that morning about being behind on some biology work.

She didn't want to nag him, so she busied herself with the pile of homework sitting on her desk.

When she was finished a few hours, she leaned back in her chair and grabbed her phone. She figured Percy was probably finished with whatever he was doing by now.

Wanna get together for that lunch I owe you tomorrow? She texted him, then added, I know the perfect place.

Twenty minutes later, she got a response: Can't.

Oookay, she thought, getting worried, maybe his parents were coming home tomorrow and they needed him? Maybe he had to pick them up from the airport? Or babysit his sister? Wait, hadn't they hired a babysitter?

She forced herself to calm down and typed out a quick reply Okay, let me know when you're free.

She never got a response.
