Heyyyyy.

So it's me. I'm back.

I've really been trying to be consistent in updating. So far I think I'm doing pretty good but we'll see.

Anywho, this part is dedicated once again to my boi Boss_of_the_World for answering the trivia question correctly first. So yeah. Thank you for your sweet comments, they really motivate me to keep updating, even if I have to stay up late and be cranky in the morning. I LOVE YOU GUYS 🥰

AND

Thank you for the suggestions and ideas, keep em coming. I promise I'll try what I cab come up with and of course I'll give you credit for your idea.

This is an AU, in which Leo doesn't get possessed and attacks New Rome, or any of that. It's what I think would happen if Percy and Annabeth actually got to go for a walk around the city before leaving for the quest.

This one shot it kinda short. It was originally supposed to be really sad and like emotional but after much consideration I was like nah. I had written it kind of a long time ago so I revised it, and its kind of short, but nice and sweet.

Or at least that's what I think. Sorry for any typos it is literally three in the morning. But anyway here's the one shot. 🥳

Annabeth sighed contentedly as she walked down the streets of New Rome, her hand intertwined with Percy's.

Less than two hours ago, the crew of the Argo II had landed in New Rome. They had discussed the Prophecy of the Seven over a feast held in the forum. The seven demigods, the Greek demigods plus Jason, Hazel, and Frank, had all been unanimously chosen to complete the quest, and despite the odds not looking so well, Reyna had ended the gathering with a toast to new friends and a prayer to the gods for the quest to succeed.

Then all the demigods dispersed, all of the Romans leaving to attend their duties, leaving Leo and Piper to walk around the city while Jason and Reyna spoke in private. Annabeth couldn't help but notice the nervousness in Piper's eyes when Reyna asked to speak to Jason in private, but he had nodded, kissing Piper on the cheek and promising her to catch up with her later, before walking toward the Senate House with Reyna.

Percy had turned to Annabeth, smiling brightly. "You up for a hike?"

So there they were, strolling through the streets of the city, which sloped up the base of a hill. Annabeth could see a terrace at the top of the hill, which she assumed was their destination.

As they walked, Percy talked about all the places and people he saw, telling her everything he knew about them excitedly.  Several times, they would walk into people Percy knew. He would greet them, introduce Annabeth, and chat with them like they had known each other for forever, before shaking hands and parting ways.

"So I guess you're pretty popular around here, huh?" Annabeth teased.

He laughed. "Not at first. When they found out I was a son of Neptune- er, Poseidon, they thought my presence was a bad omen or something"

"Well I guess they changed their minds. Praetor?" She raised an eyebrow, running her fingers on the purple cape falling from his shoulders.

"I just helped them out with a quest." He shrugged like it was nothing.

"You did more than that, Percy." Annabeth said. "You got their symbol of power back and saved the city during the attack."

"I think it just reminded me of all the quests we went on together. And the whole camp was pretty desperate because of their missing praetor. The senate thought they should give up hope on Jason coming back and hold an election to replace him." He explained.
