I feel like I've had a harder inspiration to write "Pre - Thor - 1 - Era - Asgardian - Stories" lately. Maybe the quarantine has something to do with it, Idk.

~Asgard, Hundreds of Years Prior (Physically look about 17-18)~
No matter how much Olivia tried, she simply couldn't fall asleep. Under the covers, over the covers, on her right side, on her left side, on her back, on her stomach, head at the foot of her bed. Nothing. It was pitch dark outside, a few stars dotting the sky maybe, but that was it. She had a candle lit on her desk across the room.
Olivia could never fall asleep in a completely dark room. She always had to have some light. She wasn't really sure why. Blue light was the best even though she couldn't always find blue light. She really wished she had some right then. Flopping onto her stomach, she groaned. Why was this so difficult?
She finally stood up and tied a night robe around her pyjamas. Maybe a quick walk would tire her out. Quietly she left her room, looking up and down the halls. No one would be awake at this time, except for maybe some of the guards. She didn't see any though. The torches on the wall lit her way along as she turned a few corners.
She yawned as she turned one more corner, close to the ballroom. Olivia stopped for a moment when she heard an odd noise come from it.
No one should be awake. Who is that? She thought, creeping over to the large double doors. Pressing her ear to the door, she could hear... piano? Someone was playing piano. The question is, who was it?
Cautiously, Olivia opened the door just a few inches to peek inside.
Her eyes slightly widened when she realized it was Loki on the piano. He played very soft music, the sort of stuff one would fall asleep to.
I didn't know Loki knew how to play that. She thought. Then again, Loki had gone away with Frigga for a couple of hours each week several years ago. Maybe that's when he learned.
Olivia opened the door a little wider, just wide enough that she could slip inside. She kept her eyes on Loki so he wouldn't notice her right away. Closing the door, she crept over to a dark corner and sat down. She listened to Loki play for several minutes, finding it was very peaceful. She probably could have gotten the sleep she had so desperately wanted a little while ago. Though, Loki finished the song he was on and Olivia made up her mind.
"It's pretty." She said, causing Loki to jump in surprise at her voice. He looked over and made eye contact with her.
"Oh, uh, so you heard?" He asked.
"Most of it. I just came down a few minutes ago because I couldn't sleep." Olivia replied, walking over and sitting on the bench next to Loki. "You're really good at it."
"Well, thanks." Loki replied, turning pink.
"Why are you up so late?" Olivia asked, yawning once.
"Couldn't sleep either." Loki replied, matching her yawn.
"Ah." Olivia rested her head on Loki's shoulder, staring at the piano keys in front of them. "Can you play something?"
"Like what?"
"I don't really have anything in mind. Just something to get me to fall asleep."
Loki smiled softly and pressed a light kiss to her head.
"Anything for you." He said, lightly placing his fingers on the keys. A soft melody emerged as he began to play (media), Olivia curling up closer to him. She slowly shut her eyes and allowed her breathing to even out. Loki took no notice of it until he finished the song.
Olivia's soft snoring caught Loki's attention. He looked at her round face, sleep touching her features and making them look peaceful. Beautiful, even. Loki smiled as he hooked his arm under her legs to hoist her up. He let her head fall on his shoulder as he bridal carried her out of the empty ballroom.
He knew where her room was and made the quick turns to find it. Upon entering her room, he managed to hold her up with one arm as he pulled her bedsheets down. Laying Olivia down, he pulled the covers back over her and stroked her hair a few times. He pushed a few loose strands behind her ear before placing short kisses on her forehead, the tip of her nose, and finally her lips.
She stirred slightly, but once she stilled again, Loki smiled. Turning around, he left her room and shut the door behind him.
He probably should get to bed now.

I love writing these little short stories. They're so far removed from the rest of the timeline that it seems refreshing. No nearly dying, no Thanos, no threats to the universe.
Just a couple of kids in love and doing normal things.
Do you guys have requests for these little short stories? Let me know!
