Marius arrives at the Cafe Musain. He is in a daze after seeing something, or should he say, someone that turned his world upside down. He sent Eponine to find the girl, knowing if anyone could, she could. He makes his way upstairs to the meeting room. The Amis are cleaning rifles and sharing their excitement at the coming revolution. None more excited than the fearless leader himself.
Enjolras looks around with a proud smile. He has more recruits now, than he did last year. Double even. He turns to the Ami he put in charge of gun stock. "Well, Courfeyrac, do we have all the guns?" Courfeyrac grins and gives him a nod. "Our time is running short!"
Courfeyrac chuckles. "Don't worry, mon ami. We have Students, workers, everyone! Like the flowing of the tide, Paris is coming to our side!"
Combeferre walks up to the men and grabs the leader's attention. "Enjolras! At Notre Dame the sections are prepared!"
Feuilly pipes in. "At rue de Bac they're straining at the leash!"
Enjolras grins proudly. "Excellent!" His smile fades when he looks to Grantaire. "Grantaire, put the bottle down! We are planning a revolution, not a day at the pub."
Grantaire just grins and stands on a chair, shouting. "Give me brandy on my breath and I'll breathe them all to death!" This made everyone laugh, even Enjolras couldn't help but twitch a smile, but the revolution was here and they had to start being serious.

Enjolras gets everyone's attention. "The time is near. So near it's stirring the blood in their veins! And yet beware...." He grabs a gun out of an Ami's hand who was toying with it. "Don't let the wine go to your brains!" He gives a pointed look at Grantaire, who only gives him a cheeky grin and takes another swig of his bottle. "For the army we fight is a dangerous foe with the men and the arms that we never can match. It is easy to sit here and swat 'em like flies, but the national guard will be harder to catch." He looks around. The Amis were serious now. Good. "We need a sign to rally the people, to call them to arms, to bring them in line!" He looks at Combeferre and they begin making a plan when Marius shows up. "Marius, your late."
"I know." Marius says softly. Enjolras shrugs and goes back to planning.
Everyone was so busy, they didn't notice how their friend was acting. However, Joly, finally caught it and couldn't help, but worry. "Marius what's wrong with you today? You look as if you've seen a ghost."
Grantaire pours Marius a drink. "Some wine and say what's going on!" He and Joly sit with him at the table.
Marius takes the cup and sighs. "A ghost you say... a ghost maybe. She was just like a ghost to me. One minute there, and she was gone!"
Grantaire grins. "I am agog! I am aghast! Is Marius in love at last? I've never heard him 'ooh' and 'aah'." He gets up and starts mocking Enjolras, who glares at him. "You talk of battles to be won, and here he comes like Don Ju-an! It's better than an o-per-a!" He and Joly begin to laugh as he sits back down.
Enjolras joins them at the table, making them shut up. "It is time for us all to decide who we are.
Do we fight for the right to a night at the opera now? Have you asked of yourselves what's the price you might pay?" He looks over at Marius. "Is it simply a game for rich young boys to play? The color of the world is changing day by day...
