I looked past the window and the sun is already up. Chloe is soundly sleeping on the other air bed with a pizza box at her side. The television was still on but the light wasn't. I can't believe we passed out here.
"Mommy, the bunnies are outside."
I laughed a little as she talks in her sleep.
Her phone rang and she woke up.
The day passed by like it normally would. I went home and I finally had me to myself. My eyes were glued to my laptop as I scroll through different websites or watching random videos.
"Kelsey? Bigi is here!" I heard Max said outside my door and I immediately got on my feet and went outside. As my grandma had said before, "It's not nice to let your guests wait outside."
"Hey! What brings you here?" I asked him
"Just wanna hang out in your place, can I?" He said as he scratches his head and I laughed at his innnocent-looking face.
"Yeah sure. But not here. Max's classmates would be here to go and make their project." I said and he stood up.
"Max? Where's dad?" I asked her but she just looks at me
"Firm." She said and I rolled my eyes at her. I guess it's that time of the month. Her mood is a mess and she's extremely weird right now.
"So, what do you wanna do?" I asked him while I was looking around the house and try to think of what we can do.
"On second thought, let's just hangout on mine. The others are coming home so there'd be a lot of food." He suggested and I agreed with him.
Before we left, I made sure Max would have the things she needs, reminded her of some important things and especially warned her not to ruin the house.
"Kelsey?" She called me before leaving.
"What is it?" I asked her
"Ingat!" (Take Care)
I smiled and then we left.
"You sure I don't need to get dressed?" I asked him as I looked at myself. Baggy sweater, a pair of black fitted jeans, and a pair of high-cut sneakers.
"Nah!"
"Your family is the Jacksons Bigi." I reminded him
"And they're normal people. Trust me, they're fine."
When we got to the house of the Jacksons, I composed myself several times before entering with Bigi. I tried not to look so nervous. It's not like I'm meeting the family of my boyfriend, is it?
"Look, who's here? Hey Bigi!" A cousin of him greeted Bigi and they both did their handshake.
"Who's this young lady?"
In a mattet of seconds, we were surrounded like paparazzis surround an artist.
"Stop crowding her." Bigi laughed and everyone suddenly stopped. Amused.
"Alright alright, you have Bigi and we'll have this beauty." His sister, Paris announced and the next we knew, I was being dragged by his family members.
...
Honestly, hanging out in his house was one of the best! His whole family was amazing and very welcoming. They even mistook me as Bigi's girlfriend but the whole issue was resolved after several minutes after we explained to them that I was just a new member of the Miracles and that we didn't think of any great place to hangout except for their house.
"By the way, Kelsey. Please tell your mom that I miss her and that she should come by anytime if she's not busy with her work." Grandma Katherine said while all of us were eating dinner. Yes, they persuaded me to stay for dinner and I couldn't say no.
"I will Ma'am." I answered
"Drop the formality." She smiled
"So tell me Kelsey, how is Bigi as a 'friend'?" Paris asked teasingly
"He's a great person, he's just quiet a lot of times but he's sincerely fun to be with." I said
"Does he smile a lot? Talk?" Prince asked
"Prince, I am a person. Of course I talk." Bigi said and we all laughed at his response
"Uh, we forgot about that, sorry." Prince answered that threw the whole house quiet.
"A battle of the Princes." Mouthed Paris.
After the dinner, they offered me a ride home since it would be difficult to go home at this hour.
"Excuse my family for being like that. It's just my first time bringing a friend in the house. It's usually a group thing." He said as we stopped in front of our house.
"It's fine, I had fun." I said and got off the car.
I went inside the house and joined my family in watching a movie.
