Kelsey
"Kelsey, are you sure you're fine?" Dad asked me as I panted. I nodded and kept my head straight.
"Are you dizzy? Or do you feel anything else?" Dad asked but I shook my head at him.
"I'm fine Dad. Just found it hard to breathe but I'm okay now." I said as I composed myself.
"Alright. Call me immediately if you feel anything bad, okay?" I nodded and held my bag.
I went out of the car and inside the school. I, once again, calmed myself down and went straight to my first class.
"Hey." Chloe greeted me but as much as possible, I smiled to her.
"You fine? You look pale?" She said putting her hand over my forehead.
"I'm okay. I just lacked sleep last night." I said and gave her a reassuring smile.
It's the truth though. I was talking to my friends in the Philippines and totally forgot about the time. I just didn't know what the heck is wrong with my body today. Or maybe this is because of the sudden change of weather.
"Hey, B." Chloe greeted Bigi and I felt him sat beside me since our seats are just beside each other.
"Why is she like a slug?" I mentally rolled my eyes at him. I heard Chloe giggled but I stayed on my place. Head on my desk and pretending to sleep.
"Lacked sleep. Let her be." Chloe said
At lunch, the four of us went at the cafeteria together. The couple was being disgustingly sweet while Bigi and I walked quietly. There's nothing wrong between us two, we just don't feel like talking.
"Are you interested?" Bigi suddenly asked. While we were eating our lunch.
"With what?" I asked tryna remember what he just said.
"About the Miracles." He said
"I dunno, I still haven't thought of it." Though I really want to. I still haven't asked my father.
"You should think about it fast. Many students want to be a member of their band." He said while eating
"Why?" I suddenly asked
"What do you mean why?" He asked
"Why do you insist that I audition in that band?" I asked him back
"Because I feel like you can do it. I feel like you need it." There he goes again. His smile. I don't know why it feels so familiar to me.
I looked at him, more like stare, but decided to shrug that thought off of my shoulder.
After lunch, Bigi and I walked to class. We're not classmates in Music but our classrooms are just beside each other.
"Hey Kelsey." Candace managed to greet me and nodded at Bigi who excused himself and went inside his classroom.
Mr. Roberts was still not here and the class is half empty.
Candace had a teasing smile in her face and I looked at her questionnably.
"Why do you look like that?" I asked her
"I don't know. Do you have something to share to me?" Her eyebrows giggled and I shot her another questionning look.
"You know, about you and Bigi." She said and I laughed at the thought
"Don't tell me, you're thinking that I'm dating him?'" I said jokingly and put my things on my chair.
"I wasn't the one who said that." She defended herself.
"We just met like two weeks ago. Don't think like that " I laughed and shoved her face away from me.
"If you say so." She said and jokingly went to her seat. "But don't deny there's a spark." She spoke as if she was a fairy godmother of some sort.
I rolled my eyes at her silliness and she laughed.
"Why don't you guys date?" She asked and my eyes almost popped out of my eye socket.
"What?" She laughed at me.
"You got shocked?" Still, she was laughing. Gosh. I rolled my eyes at her and she was still laughing. What's wrong with her?
"Anyway, we got an audition after classes. Bigi said you were interested." She said. Her joking eyebrows were wriggling again.
That guy! I said I was not sure!
"Ok." I said and smiled at her.
Soon after, the teacher entered the room.
"See you after class, Kelsey." She said as we went our different ways since we have different classes. We were only classmates in Music after all.
