"You and Bigi?" I furrowed my eyebrows with my dad's question

"Are friends." I continued his sentence as I sat comfortably on my bed and he's far away from me, which is by the window on the comfy seat there.

"You're not seeing each other?"

"We are, I mean we aren't blind Dad." I sarcastically said with a hint of mischievousness on my voice and my dad rolled his eyes at me.

"Nathalia." I widened my eyes at him when he called my middle name

"Okay, okay. Fine. We are getting there but not actually there-there if you know what I mean." I said to him

Talking freely to your parents is something I'm missing these days and sitting inside my room like this with my dad feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulder, not much but a little is a huge help.

"I'm glad." He said and moved closer to my spot offering his warm hug to me.

"I hope this will be the start for you pumpkin." He said ruffling my hair. I sighed in relief when he was about to leave the door when he turned around again.

"I won't unroll the scroll of rules for you but I don't want you to do stupid things, Nathalia." He warned with a joking tone and somehow it didn't register to me as a mere joke but I did my best to laugh at him, half-heartedly, shoving him out of my room before I can have my breakdown again.

"Kelsey, Maxine! Fatima's home!" Max and I rushed to meet our sister Fatima who was fetched in the airport by our Uncle Damian.

"Fatima!" I shouted and lunged at her making her stumble back while laughing and hugging me back. Max on the other hand asked her if she had brought the chocolates Mom had promised to send when they talked last week.

"How are ya?" I asked after we had settled her things on her room.

Grandma's house was a very big ancestral home, like that of the Spaniards Era, with varnished wood that spoke of the colonization period. It's cool here, creepy at times but hey! This house was older than the matriarch herself. If I'm right, twice her age actually .

"Ugh! I miss home!" She said laying down on her bed. My nose scrunched. Something's wrong.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked and I just shook my head no at her before laying down next to her. If she's not gonna speak, I don't have the rights to push the topic. It's as sensitive as the situation is.

I tackled her in a hug in which she just responded. The door bursted open, revealing Maxine with chocolates on both of her hands and a very messy face because of the chocolate she has been eating.

"Come here, little devil! Fatima misses ya." She said and Max ran to her with open arms, very sticky hands I might add.

"At least wash your hands first!" I shouted making the two giggle.

The next thing I knew, I had chocolate all over my face. The bedroom is now turned upside down. The white covers that Grandma had picked herself for Fatima to use because it's very comfy is now turned  to chocolate brown.

"Grandma's gonna kill us!" We all shouted

It was the middle of the night when I jerked out of sleep. I heard someone downstairs talking. Probably Mom and Dad. Max would be asleep by now and I'm telling you there's no way to wake Max up if she's asleep already unless you pour water on her.

"I don't think it's a nice idea to let her go home during this break." It's Dad's voice.

It's not like I'm eavesdropping on them. I was on my way to the comfort room downstairs because there was a problem with the one upstairs earlier and the plumber would be here by morning.

"It's what she needs, remember what Rebecca told us when we told her about her case?" I stopped on my tracks. They told someone about my case?

"I know what Rebecca said, I'm worried about how she might react. Losing her sister was too much for her already, she even blames herself for it. You know why we had to send them here right?" His voice sounded so defeated.

"She's not going to be any better here. She doesn't want to see any therapist, a doctor, someone who can actually help her. I just want to help our daughter." I felt guilty.

"I don't even recognize her anymore." Mom's voice was trembling.

Without giving thoughts, I walked right in on them and they looked as if they saw a ghost. I hugged them hard and mumbled sorry before turning on my heels and go to my room once again, forgetting that I had to relieve myself.
