Roni's POV:
I land on top of Steve and we both tumble to the ground. "Are you ok?" He asks me. I nod. "What did you do?" He asks. "Trust us." I say. He nods. Then thing then flies at Thor, but Thor throughs him towards the windows and he stops to marvel at the sight.
I teleport Steve and myself over to Thor, but he holds his hand up and we stop. Everyone gathers around. The thing floats back over to us. "I'm sorry, that was, odd. Thank you." He says, looking at Thor. He sounds like JARVIS. He then turns to me. "And thank you." He says to me.
"Thor, Roni, you helped create this?" Steve asks. "I had a vision, a whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at it's center, is that." He says, pointing to the gem in the man's forehead. "What? The gem?" Bruce asks. "It's the Mind Stone." Thor corrects.
"It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe. Unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." "The why would you bring it here?" Steve asks. "Cause Stark is right." He says. "Oh, it's defiantly the end times." Bruce says. "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."
"Not alone." The man says. "Why does your vision sound like JARVIS?" Steve asks. "We reconfigured JARVIS' matrix. To create something new." Tony says. "I've had my fill with new." Steve says. "You think I'm a child of Ultron." The vision says. "You're not?" Steve asks.
"I'm not Ultron. But I'm not JARVIS either. I am." He says. Wanda steps up. "I looked in your head and saw annihilation." She says. "Look again." He says. "Yeah, your self approval means jack to me." Clint says.
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself...they all came from the Mind Stone and nothing compared to what it could unleash, but with it on our side-" "Is it?" Steve asks, interrupting Thor. He turns to the man. "Are you? On our side."
"I don't think it's that simple. I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all." He says. "What's he waiting for?" Tony asks. "You." "Where?" "Sokovia. He's got Nat there too." Clint says. "He has Nat?" I ask. He nods, giving me a sad smile. Bruce walks up to the man.
"If we're wrong about you...if your the monster Ultron made you to be-" "What will you do?" He asks. We all stand in silence waiting for someone to speak, the man finally does so, giving us his view on things.
"I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth. So he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others." He says.
"Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are. I'm not what you intended. So there may be no way for me to make you trust me, but we need to go." He says while holding up Thor's hammer. "Suit up." Steve says. We all nod.
I go to walk past Tony only to be pulled into a hug. "I though I lost you." He mutters into my hair. Smiling I hug him tightly. "I'm right here." I say, pulling away. "What did they do to you?" He asks. "Hey, I'm ok. I'm ok." I say, trying to reassure him.
"We're talking about this later, but for now, I have a little surprised for you." He says. I follow him to where he keeps everyones suits. Instead of my usual crop top and jeans there stands, a beautiful new suit. I smile and hug Tony tightly.
"Also, you know where to get your weapons." He says. I nod, grabbing my suit before heading to go change. Before I left for the Hydra mission Tony had just finished the tower and gave us each a room. I walk into mine which is barely used and still in the condition I left it in.
Smiling I close the door and change into my new suit. Smiling at my reflection I throw my hair into a pony tail and then braid it. I feel normal again. I think back to the past three years, I've changed so much and yet I haven't.
Shaking off the feelings I go over to my closet and push the unused clothes aside, revealing my hidden weapons vault. I do my retina scan and it opens for me. I strap on guns, my knives, and my electric bow staff. Oh how I've missed it.
Why do I get the feeling I won't be needing it too much? I shake the feeling off and look at my bow and quiver. I won't be needing that against an army of robots. I'll let Clint handle the bow for now. I shut the vault before exiting my room.
I walk to where the clothes are to find Wanda and Pietro. "Hey." I say, they look up at me. "Whoa. Is this really you?" Wanda asks me. I nod. "Like I said before, I am an Avenger, and now, so are you two." I say. They smile back at me and we get together for a group hug.
They really are what kept me sane in my time at Hydra. They're the good that came out of that. "Are you two ready for this?" I ask. Pietro nods while Wanda just stares at the ground. "Give me a minute." I tell him. He nods and exits the room. I pull her over to a bench.
"Hey, whatever happens out there, don't hold back. You are strong and amazingly gifted. Use that against Ultron." I say. "You have such a good heart Roni. Please never lose that." She tells me. "I'll try." I say. Smiling we hug each other. "Now come on, they're waiting for us." I say.
She nods. "Let's go save the world." Smiling we both leave the room, headed for the hanger. Saving the world round two, let's do this.
