Stupid, stupid, stupid.

That's all Jimin could think to himself as he drove Taehyung back to his house.

He had been so stupid, so careless. She made it impossible for him to control himself; emotionally, and especially physically.

He should've just done the smart thing. Haul Taehyung's unconscious ass to the car, and take them both back to his place. Tae could crash on the couch and Jimin could sleep fitfully in his bed. Alone

He could cling to his pillows when the nightmares haunted him, writhe around by himself in the sheets, instead of taking solace in the arms of Micha's puppet girl.

Oh, god.

The reality of what he had done the night before hit him again, like a wave of acid to the face. How could he be so stupid?

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

"Hey man," Taehyung said, breaking into his bubble of self loathing. Good timing; another ten seconds and Jimin probably would've started banging his head on the steering wheel, "Sorry you had to save me again. I really gotta stop drinking."

"Yeah, no problem," Jimin replied, waving his hand dismissively, "Not the first time."

Taehyung chuckled, "What did I do? I do some weird shit when I drink the hard stuff."

Jimin shrugged, trying to appear casual, "Nothing huge. You showed up to her house. She said something about you kissing her, I think."

Of course, Jimin didn't care that his friend had tried to kiss her.

He didn't care.

He didn't care. Right?

"Oh, man," Taehyung laughed. But it was a nervous sound, and Jimin could see Tae eyeing him. "Sorry about that."

Jimin snorted, "Why? You can have her."

"Sure I can," Taehyung said, "Whatever you say."

Jimin could feel rumbling, deep in his chest. This was not the time for Taehyung to be testing him.

"Actually, I think I do remember kissing her," Tae paused, "I don't usually remember stuff after I've been drinking. Hm," he seemed thoughtful, "It must've been some kiss. Really hot."

Jimin suppressed a growl, thought one pressed against the inside of his teeth. He stared at the road, his hands rigid on the steering wheel.

"I think we might've done some other stuff, too," Tae continued.
