Taehyung decided to call an emergency best man and maid of honor meeting the next day. You were grateful, that would give you an excuse to focus on something productive, instead of just dwelling on your own negative thoughts all day like you seemed to be doing lately.
He demanded that you come over to his place around dinner time so the two of you could eat and work on the pile of stuff Jin had given you to do. That was probably a good idea, because you didn't know how the hell you were supposed to finish it by yourself. Jin was a very demanding wedding planner, but it was probably necessary, seeing how Hobi was determined to get married before spring was over.
You showed up at his house around seven, just as he asked, with the binder Jin gave you. He opened the door and swept you inside quickly.
"We have some serious work to do," he immediately said, and you nodded vigorously in agreement.
"Have you ever planned a wedding before?" you asked jokingly as you tossed the binder down on the table, which was already filled with tons of other planning supplies. You had a growing suspicion that this pile wasn't Taehyung's, and that Jin had been working over here instead of at his own house. You shook that out of your head with a small smile.
"I can't say I have, unfortunately," Tae replied, laughing, "Which sucks. Because that would be super helpful right now."
"Very helpful," you agreed. You strolled into the kitchen, where Tae had evidently been working. "Have you been cooking more lately?" you asked.
He gave a little shrug, "Yeah. I figured it was time I started to eat real food instead of ordering takeout. I know how to cook, I'm just lazy." You snorted. Tae gave you a smile as he finished cleaning up.
"So, what did Jin give you to work on?" he asked, walking back towards the table. Taehyung huffed, clearly at the thought of the huge mound of stuff Jin wanted us to finish.
"Flower centerpieces. The guys' lapels," you said, counting off on your fingers.
"What the hell's a lapel?" Tae asked, scrunching his nose.
You laughed, "Those flower thingies that get pinned on the guy's suit."
"Ohhhh," Taehyung nodded. He grabbed a bottle of wine from the kitchen and brought it to the table. You took the glass from him thankfully, sure that you wouldn't be able to survive all of the wedding planning without some alcohol in you.
The night seemed to fly by as you pored over the binders and websites Jin gave you to look over. It took you forever to make decisions, but you managed to make all of them.
By the time the clock read 10:00, you had already finished most of the work. Both of you were already giggly and tipsy from the wine, and you ended up sitting on the floor next to the table. You were falling over from laughter, and you had no idea what you were even laughing about.
You struggled to catch your breath, and Tae looked at you funny, his eyes dark.
