Scared Chika X Protective You

You was running towards Chika's house. She accidentally had slept in past her alarm and was going to be late to school if she didn't hurry. She had to go all the way to Chika's house everyday and walk with her to the bus and to school because Chika was scared to walk outside her house, unless she had someone she knew and trusted next to her.

Chika was much braver when she was younger, but she had gotten kidnapped and hurt by a stranger. Luckily, her parents had realized she was gone and managed to get her back with some help from the police, but the experience had left Chika traumatized and scared to be by herself. Her older sister, Shima, had even quit work so Chika would always have someone with her while she was home.

You also tried to come over as often as she could. It was getting hard to come over as often though because she was starting to get a crush on Chika, but she knew if she confessed and Chika said no, things would get awkward between them and Chika would get scared around You. Or Chika wouldn't want to lose You, so she would say yes, but not really mean it. You didn't want any of that to happen, so she didn't tell Chika her feelings, but it was hard to keep to herself.

You finally got to Chika's house's door and waited a minute to catch her breath. She knocked on the door a few times using the secret knock she and Chika had made up so Chika would know it was her. Chika unlocked the door and was all ready to go to school. The orange haired girl closed the door behind her and clung tightly to You's arm while they walked. Chika was also eating a mikan, so she only clung to You with one arm.

People used to get suspicious and think they were together, but You had explained that Chika was just clinging because she was scared. She wondered what would happen when they became adults and she wouldn't be able to see Chika everyday. She decided to not worry about it until later. While they walked, You had a light blush on her face. How could she not though? Her crush was clinging to her arm.

They walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus to show up. While they waiting, a stranger walked next to them to also wait for the bus. You felt Chika's grip on her arm tighten and could see that Chika looked tense and more scared than usual. She pet Chika's head with her hand that wasn't being clung too. "It's ok Chika-chan, calm down. I'm right here and I won't let anyone hurt you." She said softly, trying to reassure Chika.

Apparently her reassuring words worked well because Chika loosened her grip and seemed a bit calmer. The bus finally stopped in front of them, so they got on and went to the back so no one would try to sit close to them. Once they sat down, Chika went from clinging to her arm, to hugging her. You really wanted to hug her back and just cover Chika's face in kisses, but she had to resist. She forced herself to just sit there and let Chika hug her.

She smiled a little and looked out the window. "It's cold today, so I think i'm going to skip swim club." She said. On days she had the swim club, she would just walk Chika to Shima's car, then hurry to the school's pool. "You-chan, c-can I come over to your house then? It's been awhile since I went to your house, you usually just come over to mine." Chika asked.

"Sure! It has been awhile. Wanna stay the night too?" She asked. Chika nodded. You paused for a second. Why had she asked Chika to stay the night?! That would mean they would have to take a bath together... and share a bed! You was internally screaming at herself for being an idiot when suddenly Chika smiled a little "I'm looking forward to it." She said.

You felt her heart melt at Chika's cute smile. It wasn't something she saw often, so it was the most beautiful sight in the world when she did get to see it. You couldn't hold back anymore and let herself at least hug Chika. "I'm looking forward to it too." She said.

(Time skip to after school)

You was walking home with Chika, who was clinging to her arm again like usual. At school, the teacher knew about Chika's timidness, so the teacher let them sit next to each other. You was glad that she always got to spend all day with Chika, but it was emotionally painful too. It was worth it to keep Chika happy though!

They past by a park on the way home where some two boys that looked around the same age sitting on park benches and playing on their phones. One boy looked up and saw them, then be noticed Chika clinging to You. He stood up and called out to them "Eww! Are you two together?" He asked and stuck out his tongue. "No! We're just friends!" You said back. She was feeling a bit irritated.

"Then why is she clinging to your arm like her life depends on it?" The boy asked and pointed to Chika. The other boy got up and noticed too. "She's just shy!" You said back. "Stop making excuses." The second boy said. "Stop being jerks!" You said harshly. The two boys looked mad now. "You wanna fight?" One asked. "No, I just want to get home so we can have some time to hang out." You said.

"And do what, kiss?" The other boy teased. "Just leave us alone." You said and tried to walk forward but one boy grabbed her shoulder and threw her to the ground. She made sure that Chika fell safely on top of her. Chika was shivering and let go of You's arm. Seeing Chika look scared put You into protective mode.

The boy who had pushed them held up his fist and was about to punch Chika, but You reacted quickly and gently got Chika off her so she would be closer and take the hit. It was a hard punch that made her flinch a little. You was mad now. She punched the boy back, but right in the stomach, making him flinch too and hold his stomach, then she pushed him to the ground and gave him a hard kick in the back.

The boy yelled in pain and curled up on the ground. You then looked up at the other boy and glared. The second boy's eyes widened and held up his hands "Ok, ok, we give up." He said. Then he ran to the first boy to make sure he was ok. You picked up Chika and princess carried her to the house. "You're not hurt, right?" You asked being worried.

"I-I'm fine, but you got punched pretty hard." Chika said with teary eyes. "Don't cry, it's ok." You said and wiped Chika's tears away. She somehow managed to unlock the door and get inside while still holding Chika (Not sure how, but it happened). She sat down on the couch and sighed with relief that they were safely inside.

Chika, who was just laying on You's lap now, suddenly sat up and gave you a kiss. You blushed dark red and looked confused. "This is a thanks for saving me. And because... I love you." Chika said and hugged You. "I love you too Chika." You said and was starting to get teary eyes too. She hugged Chika tightly and kissed her a bunch of times, making Chika giggle, a sound You hadn't heard since before Chika got traumatized. "You're my hero in more ways than one." Chika said softly.

You knew what she meant. She had saved Chika from those boys, but she was also slowly helping Chika get over being scared. She sighed happily and cuddled with Chika for the rest of the day.
