You was cuddling in bed with Chika. It was late at night, so they were getting ready to go to sleep. They had already been dating for a few months. She kissed Chika's forehead and whispered "Goodnight." then she closed her eyes. Chika whispered "Goodnight, You-chan." back and closed her eyes too. They fell asleep cuddling each other. You's face was pressed softly into Chika's neck so her head fit perfectly under Chika's chin.

She knew Chika liked sleeping like that since Chika could cuddle her like she was a teddy bear. She also liked sleeping like that since it made her feel safer and warmer. You was slowly lulled to sleep by the soothing sound of Chika's soft breathing. Soon they were both fast asleep for the night. But then, something strange happened while they were both fast asleep. A little light appeared and switched their souls so You's soul went into Chika's body and Chika's went into You's body.

In the morning, You woke up and felt something below her. She knew it was Chika without even having to open her eyes since she knew they were cuddling, but she wasn't sure when they had switched spots. She opened her eyes and looked down, expecting to see Chika's orange hair, but she saw gray hair instead... gray hair that looked a lot like hers.

"Ch-Chika-chan?" She asked, now unsure of who was cuddling her. She noticed that her voice suddenly founded a lot like Chika's. "What You-chan?" The person she was cuddling asked. That voice sounded a lot like how hers usually sounded. You was starting to get really creeped out so she sat up and hopped out of the bed. The person laying there sat up and looked at her confused.

You's eyes widened, they looked exactly like her... in the pajamas she was wearing. She looked down and saw she was wearing Chika's pajamas. The person who looked up at her, their eyes widened "W-why do you look like me?!" They asked. "I-I don't know!" You replied. Just then she noticed that her hair was orange. She quickly looked in the mirror and saw that her hair was orange and her eyes were dark pink. She looked... exactly like Chika... and the person laying there said she looked like them.

Suddenly she was hit with realization. Had she and Chika switched bodies?! "Um.. Chika-chan, come here a second.." she said. Chika looked at her suspiciously "How do I know your not going to-" You interrupted her "Just come over here. It's me, You-chan! I'll explain if you look at us both in the mirror." she said. Chika walked over, still a bit suspicious. 'So thats what I look like when I look suspicious...' You thought to herself.

They both looked in the mirror and suddenly Chika's eyes widened. "Y-You look like me, and I look like you?" She asked. You nodded "I think we switched bodies somehow." She said. Chika's eyes lit up "This is cool! Hehe, I'm You-chan now!" She said and grinned. "Chika-chan! We gotta figure out how to get back to our original selves! This'll cause problems later today when I'm supposed to go back home, and later when we have to go to school." You reminded her.

"Ah, right... but don't you think it would be fun just to try out running around and stuff in each others bodies?" Chika asked. "I guess." You agreed. Chika tried jumping "This is fun!" She said. "Want to go outside and race?" You suggested. "Sure!" Chika agreed and saluted her "Aye aye!" She said. You giggled, it was fun to see Chika saluting her while looking exactly like her.

They walked outside and raced each other and kept running around for a while. Then they saw Chika's sister, Shima. "Hey, Shima-ne- I mean, Shima-san!" Chika greeted. "Hello, You-san" Shima replied and smiled. "Hi, Shima... -nee" You greeted. It was weird for her to try to refer to Shima as an older sister. "Hi, Chika-chan." Shima replied, then she walked inside.

Chika sighed with relief "I almost forgot that I have to watch my honorifics around my family while our bodies are switched." She said. "I have be careful with those too. It felt weird to call Shima-chan, Shima-nee." You said. She started playing with the one strand of hair on her head that sticks up and then curls over a little, trying to smooth it out and make it go down, but it just shot right back up and curled slightly again.

"Does this strand of hair ever bother you?" You asked and tried again, but the hair wouldn't stay down. "No, not really. I've always had it so I don't really pay attention to it anymore." Chika replied and started playing with the curls in her new hair. "What else should we try doing?" You asked. "Let's try acting like each other." Chika suggested. "Alright." You agreed. Then they tried acting like each other.

"Come on, You-chan! Let's run to the beach!" You said, trying to sound extra enthusiastic. "Aye aye, Chika-chan!" Chika replied and saluted her. Then they giggled and ran to the beach that just in front of Chika's house together. You grabbed a stick and drew a mikan in the sand. Chika saw her doing that and drew a uniform in the sand next to the mikan.

Even if they had switched bodies, their drawing abilities didn't change. The mikan that You drew was more detailed than the mikans Chika usually drew, and the uniform that Chika drew... it was kind of hard to tell that it was a uniform. They were both happy with their drawings though. They spent the whole day trying to act like each other. You also managed to get permission from her parents to stay over for another night.

When it was bedtime, they tried sleeping with Chika sleeping under You's chin, just like how they had waken up that morning. "I hope this works." You said. "It would be fun to stay like this, but I know that we really need to switch back to our original bodies." Chika said. "Maybe it'll happen again sometime soon, or we might actually be stuck like this." You said. "We'd have a lot of explaining to do." Chika said. "Yeah... goodnight Chika-chan." You said. "Goodnight." Chika replied. Then they fell asleep.

In the morning, You woke up and felt herself laying under Chika's chin. She quickly got up and looked in the mirror and saw that she was back to her normal body "It worked! I'm back to normal!" She said happily. Chika woke up and looked at her hair. Seeing that it was orange, Chika smiled "Yeah!" She said. You tackle hugged Chika and smiled "Now I can finally kiss you again without it feeling weird!" She said. Then they both started giggling.
