You excitedly unpacked some moving boxes. She had just moved to a small house in Uchira with her family. She had been born there and lived there until
She was about six years old, then her family had moved away to live somewhere else, but they finally decided to move back. They had looked into getting their old house back too, but someone else already lived there.

You was going to be starting her second year of high school there. She was excited. "I wonder if I'll recognize anyone that I met before I moved..." she mumbled. She remembered her best friend, Takami Chika. It was only by chance that they would end up in the same high school together, but You really hoped they did. She missed Chika a lot, and really wanted to see her again.

Since she had moved away at such a young age, she hadn't been able to stay in contact with Chika. She wasn't even sure if Chika was still in Uchira or if her family had moved away too. The Takami family worked at an Inn there, so it was highly unlikely that they would leave though. You had forgotten the name of the Inn since she hadn't seen it or heard it's name in almost ten years. She looked up local Inn's, and found the one that she was pretty sure Chika's family owned.

It looked like Chika's family still owned it, so You let out a small sigh of relief. Her only worry now was if they would be able to recognize each other or not. A lot changed in those ten years. "I wonder if Chika-chan changed her hair style... her voice will also probably sound a little different, and of course she'll look slightly different..." You mumbled more.

She pushed her worries to the back of her head and focused on unpacking and getting her room all set up. She would have to worry about finding Chika later. Once she was finished packing, it was already night time, so she went to bed. In the morning, she woke up and got ready for school. She held up the school uniform she would be wearing to get a better look at it, then she put it on. She felt like she was ready for school!

She got her school bag and then left the house and got on the bus. As the bus got closer to the school, You felt her excitement growing. Soon, the bus came to a stop at the school, so You got off the bus and walked past the school's gates. She was there a bit early, so she looked around. She wanted to figure out where her classroom was and where a few other places were before school started for the day.

She found where her classroom was and where the P.E locker room was. Then she found the pool and the track. She saw stairs leading up to the roof, so she walked up those to go explore the roof. Once she got up to the roof she looked around. She suddenly heard a shriek and saw an orange haired girl get pushed to the ground by two other girls. One had dark green hair, the other had black hair. "Did you really think that coming to school early and hiding in the classroom would make it so we couldn't find you?" The dark green haired girl asked.

The orange haired girl was too scared to speak and just nodded her head slightly. "Guess we got lucky that we checked the classroom this morning to see what it looked like since it's the first day of school. Now your going to pay for trying to avoid us!" The black haired girl said and kicked the orange haired girl. The orange haired girl tried to get up "I... I got to school early and hid because I'm tired of dealing with getting bullied! Why can't you leave me alone?" The orange haired girl asked. By that point, You had taken out her phone to record everything and was starting to slowly walk closer.

"We get to choose what we want to do, and we want to keep causing trouble for you!" The dark green haired girl said and pushed Chika onto the ground again. You couldn't watch anymore. She stopped recording and walked over. She pushed passed the bully girls and stood in front of Chika "She asked you both to leave her alone, so go away! No one likes bullies." You said and glared at them. The black haired girl scoffed "Don't defend that girl, she's not worth defending." She said. The orange haired girl looked like she was about to cry. ""Yes she is! She's hurt because of you two! Can't you see how badly you've injured her?!" You replied.

The black haired girl tried to push You, but thanks to being a swimmer and diver, You had more strength. You pushed her over instead. "F-fine.." The black haired girl said, intimidated by You's strength. Then the bullies left the roof. You looked back at the orange haired girl "Hey, are you ok?" She asked. The orange hair girl nodded "I'm alright... I just have a few small injuries." She replied. She tried to get up, but fell back down. You picked her up. The orange haired girl had a surprised expression when that happened. "Don't worry, I'm just going to take you to the school's infirmary room." You said and smiled softly.

The orange haired girls expression relaxed a little when she heard that. "Thanks for saving me from those two... they've been bullying me for a while. What's your name?" The orange haired girl asked. "No problem. Also, I'm Watanabe You. I just moved here from a different town, but I lived here before when I was younger." You said. The orange haired girl looked surprised again "Y-You-chan?!" She asked. You looked confused. The orange hair girl smiled and teared up "It's been so long! I didn't think you'd come back. I'm glad you did." She said.

You was still confused, then she suddenly realized who she was holding "Wait... Ch-Chika-chan?" She asked. Chika nodded. You felt her eyes tearing up a little too "I'm so glad I found you! I was worried I might not be able to when I first came back to Uchira yesterday. I'm so sorry I left, but it was my parents decision.." She said. "It's ok, You-chan! I know that you couldn't control wether you moved or not." Chika said.

"I left and because of that... you got bullied... I feel really bad about that.." You said. Chika shook her head "It's fine, really. You're back now so you can protect me from those bullies!" Chika said. You smiled and nodded. Getting a closer look at Chika, she had to admit that Chika had become really beautiful. She blushed a little. Was she already getting a crush on her childhood friend within the first couple minutes of them meeting again? It seemed like it.

She got to the infirmary and set Chika down on one of the beds. It seemed that the nurse wasn't there yet, so she sat in a chair close to the bed while she waited. "How long have those girls been bullying you? Since it's the first day, this must have started last year, or maybe even before that, right?" You asked.

"It's only been for about a year. I wasn't able to make any new friends after you left, so I guess I was an easy target for bullies. I made a few friends, but they always eventually stopped talking to me." Chika said. You felt really guilty even though moving wasn't her fault. She got up from her chair and hugged Chika "I'm not going to leave again, so I'll keep you safe from those two from now on." She said. Chika sighed softly with relief.

Getting caught up in the moment, You touched her nose tip with Chika's. Chika tilted her head a little, being confused. Then You leaned forward more and kissed her. The kiss lasted about ten seconds... a second for each year they had spent apart. You had expected Chika to flinch or try to push her away, but instead, Chika kissed her back. Once they broke away, You got embarrassed and apologized "S-sorry, Chika-chan! I just... might have realized that I might be... falling in love with you, and I wasn't thinking and-!" You got interrupted by Chika kissing her again. "It's fine, You-chan. I think I'm falling in love with you too... so I'm happy you kissed me!" Chika admitted and her face turned red from blushing. You blushed too. They were both flustered messes.

"Really?" You asked, surprised. Chika giggled "Yep! I love you, You-chan!" She said. You grinned and hugged her tighter. They stayed like that until You heard the nurse walk into the room. Then she sat up and told the nurse what happened. She still had the proof video that she showed as well. By the time school started for the day, the two bullies had already been suspended and sent home.
