You looked out the window of the back of her parents car. She had been living in the city her whole life, so over summer break her family went out of the countryside for a few days. She really did prefer it out there. The countryside had more space and fresher air. It was quieter and had less people and less traffic. It was peaceful and You really liked it.

Outside the window, You could see mountains and lots of trees. It was a beautiful view. Much better than just buildings. You wanted to leave the city when she was an adult and move out there. She knew it would be a long drive if she wanted to visit family and friends, but she thought it was worth it. "Alright, today I want to go to a mikan farm that allows tourists. Can someone try to find one close by with a phone map?" You's dad asked. He was driving so he couldn't check a map.

"I'll do it!" You said and picked up her phone. She looked up a map of the area and found a few mikan farms. The closest one that was open to the public was... the Takami mikan farm. "How about the Takami mikan farm?" You asked. "Sure!" You's dad said. She handed him her phone and he stopped the car for a second to look at the map. No one else was driving on the road so it was fine. Once You's dad knew how to get there, he started driving again.

About five minutes later, they arrived at a medium sized farm that looked pretty popular. There was a sign on a barn there that said '#1 Mikan farm in the country' on it. No wonder the place was so popular! You's dad parked the car and they got out to look around. The farm had some tables where people could sit and eat lunch. There was a smaller barn with an order window for people to buy mikans and food with mikan it in (things like mikan muffins or mikan juice, etc).

  You's parents went to go order some food while You got a table. They came back with some mikan juice and some other food. Then the family ate together. A girl with orange hair and dark pink eyes that looked around You's age was carrying a large box of mikans towards the smaller barn. She accidentally tripped and fell, and the box fell and spilled some of the mikans. You got up and ran over to help her.

She helped the girl up. "Are you ok? You're not hurt anywhere right?" You asked. "No, I'm fine." The girl replied. Then You helped her collect all the mikans and get them back in the box. Their hands accidentally touched when they both tried to pick up the last mikan. They both blushed a little and You moved her hand away so the girl could pick it up.

"Thanks for all your help! I'm Takami Chika by the way." The girl said when they finished picking up the mikans. You guessed she was the daughter of the owners of the farm since her last name matched. "No problem. It's nice to meet you Takami-san. My names Watanabe You." You said. "Do you need help getting this box over to that small barn?" She asked.

Chika looked a bit embarrassed "I've been working here for awhile, so I should be able to carry it... but it's too heavy. So, your help would be really appreciated." She said. You smiled. She thought it looked cute when Chika blushed. She realized she was already getting a crush on the Chika. 'Nonono! You can't get a crush on her, she lives too far away from you.' You told herself. She sighed quietly.

"Something wrong?" Chika asked and tilted her head. "Nope. Nothing at all." You said. Chika smiled  and grabbed half of the box. You grabbed the other half and together they brought the box to the small barn. "I brought the mikans!" Chika called. The door opened and a girl with long black hair and dark pink eyes took the box from them. "Thanks Chika." She said, then she noticed You. "Oh! And thanks um.." "My names Watanabe You." You said. "Ah! Thanks Watanabe-san." The girl said. "Your welcome Shima-nee. Next time don't make me have to carry so much though! I had to get help cause the box was too heavy." Chika said and pouted a little.

"Sorry Chika, I'll make a smaller request next time." Shima promised, then closed the door. Chika sighed with relief "Now I get to have a break." She said. "What do you do during break?" You asked. "Not much. To be honest I usually just take a nap." Chika said. "Want to hang out for a little while? My family probably won't leave for another hour or two." You asked. "Sure! I know where some nice benches are." Chika said.

Chika led the way to some benches under a tree. The tree provided a little shade. Since it was summer time, the shade felt nice. They sat down next to each other and chatted for a while. "So you'd rather live out here than in the city?" Chika asked. You had told her about not liking city life very much. She nodded "It's much nicer out here. The fresh air, lots of space, quietness, and more." You said.

Chika grinned "I agree with that! I can't imagine being stuck in a noisy, crowded city. I need space to run around and play!" She said. "Your so lucky." You said. She leaned back on the bench and closed her eyes. Suddenly she felt some weight on her lap and lips touching hers. She opened her eyes and saw Chika was sitting on her lap and kissing her.

She was surprised since she hadn't been expecting it, but she didn't move since she liked it. Chika pulled away and then her eyes widened and she looked scared. "Ah, I'm sorry! I just... you looked cute when yours eyes were closed... and your really pretty and kine... and.." Chika was struggling to come up with things. You smiled and sat up to hug her. "It's ok Takami-san, I'm not mad. I like you too actually." You said.

She could feel Chika calming down. "You do?" She asked. "Mhm" You hummed, then she kissed Chika again. "I wish I didn't live so far away..." You said and looked disappointed. "Well, if you talk with your parents, and I ask my parents, maybe you can stay here?" Chika suggested. "I'll try. I have always wanted to live out here after all." You agreed. They kissed one more time, then went to go ask their parents for permission. Chika asking for permission to let You stay, You asking for permission to stay.

A few minutes later they met back at the bench. "My parents said you could stay as long as you help out." Chika said. "Of course I'd help out!" You said. "So, what did your parents say?" Chika said. You smiled "They said that as long as your family is fine with it and I call them often, I can stay." Chika bounced excitedly "I'm so happy!" She said. She gave You a big hug. You hugged her back. You's dream of living out in the countryside was finally happening.
