Tired Chika X Responsible You

Chika was sitting on the ground in her room. Her small table was in front of her and she was writing down song lyrics in her notebook. She had gotten a text earlier from her best friend, You, to go to bed soon, but she had gotten side tracked with writing lyrics because she suddenly came up with some really good ideas. She had a crush on You, so she had originally wanted to listen to You's advice, but she didn't want to forget the ideas she had just come up with.

Chika had a focused expression on her face as she wrote down everything her brain could think of and turned everything into song lyrics. Once she was finally out of idea's, she glanced at the clock. It was already 3 hours past her usual bedtime! Chika set the notebook down and ran around, trying to get ready for bed.

Her older sister, Mito, slammed open her room's door.  " CHIKA-CHAN! STOP MOVING AROUND SO MUCH, YOU'RE MAKING TOO MUCH NOISE!" Mito yelled. Chika slowed down "Ah, sorry Mito-nee!  I didn't realize it was so late, so i'm trying to get ready for bed." She explained. Mito just glared at her and slowly closed the door, then walked away. Chika let out a small sigh of relief and finished getting ready for bed.

She turned off the room's light and crawled into her bed. She had a bad feeling she was going to be really tired the next day, but she knew Riko couldn't get too mad at her since she was tired because she had been making lyrics. Chika closed her eyes and imagined getting lots of mikans, then she slowly started to fall asleep. She had dreams about mikans while she slept, just like usual.

In the morning, Chika woke up to the sound of her alarm clock and groaned. She turned the alarm off and got out of bed, but she felt dizzy as she tried to walk. "I regret staying up so late" she mumbled tiredly and got changed into her school uniform. Then she grabbed her school bag and left the house, accidentally forgetting to brush her hair and eat breakfast.

She started walking towards the bus stop, when she suddenly heard a voice call out to her "Hey! Chika-chan, wait for me!" it was Riko's voice. Chika turned around and rubbed her sleepy eyes. She saw Riko running towards her. Riko stopped beside her and panted a few times "Why didn't you wait for me? Thats not very neighborly of you to walk to the bus stop without me when I live next door." Riko said.

Chika rubbed the back of her head guiltily. "Sorry Riko-chan. I'm a bit tired this morning so I forgot." She said. Riko sighed and looked at Chika's hair "You didn't fix your hair either." Riko commented. "Oh! Whoops, guess I forgot that too. How'd you know?" Chika asked. "Your hair is a complete mess, and you're missing your clover slip and small yellow bow. Anyone could easily tell you didn't brush your hair." Riko said.

"G'morning Sailors!" A voice called from not too far away. Chika and Riko glanced in the direction of the voice. It was You! "Mornin' Captain!" Chika called and saluted her. "Morning You-chan." Riko said. "Chika-chan, you look like you didn't sleep. Are you ok?" You asked. "I'm fine, I just had some ideas for lyrics that I wanted to write down, then before I knew it, it was three hours past my bed time. So i'm really tired today." Chika explained. Then she let out a small yawn.

"Chika-chan, song lyrics can wait! Your sleep is more important." You said and looked a bit upset. Chika didn't like seeing You look upset, but it made her heart flutter a little to hear that You was worried about her and cared. "I agree with You-chan, but i'm happy to hear that you at least spent your time working on song lyrics for the new song." Riko said.

Then the bus pulled up. All three girls got inside and sat in the very back like usual. It was their favorite spot since there was extra room. Chika sat in between You and Riko. Suddenly, her stomach let out a loud growl. "Did you forget to eat breakfast?" You asked. Chika was starting to feel a bit embarrassed about forgetting so much so she just stayed quiet and looked at her lap.

You sighed and grabbed a mikan out of her bag. She kept mikans with her in case Chika ever forgot a snack for after practice or didn't get enough lunch. But Chika forgetting breakfast was also a good reason to keep a mikan in her bag. She gave the mikan to Chika, who happily thanked her. Then Chika peeled the mikan and started eating it. You still looked worried, but she was glad Chika was eating.

After Chika finished eating the mikan, she still felt tired, so she accidentally leaned against You. "S-sorry." Chika said and tried to move, but You wrapped an arm around her to keep her there. "It's fine. You should take a short nap before the bus arrives at the school, Chika-chan." You said softly. Chika blushed a little and nodded, then she closed her eyes and fell asleep while snuggling into You.

You rested her head on top of Chika's and smiled. Neither of them could see it, but Riko was quietly watching them and having a nosebleed. Riko wiped her nose and leaned close to You. "I can tell that you love her. You should try kissing Chika and asking her out. I'm sure she feels the same way as you." Riko whispered. She wanted to help her friend get together since she shipped them.

You blushed red all the way to her ears. She admittedly really loved Chika and wanted to be her girlfriend. "A-are you sure thats a good idea?" You asked. Riko smiled and nodded, then she backed away a little to let the two have their space. You gulped nervously and gently poked Chika's face to wake her up. Chika opened her eyes and looked tiredly up at You "Are we at school yet?" She asked.

"Not yet, but theres something I want to do before we get to school." You said. Chika looked confused. She was about to ask what You wanted to do, but then You put a hand under her chin and lifted her face a little. Chika was too tired to realize what was happening, but then she felt soft lips connect with her lips. She then realized You was kissing her. Her eyes opened all the way and she was wide awake.

After a few seconds she calmed down though and leaned into the kiss. It felt really soft and made her feel warm and loved. Then she moved away to catch her breath. "Y-you-chan" Chika said while panting. You caught her breath "Chika-chan... this is embarrassing to say, but I love you. W-will you be my girlfriend?" You asked and stuttered a little.

Chika smiled and hugged You, then gave her a peck on her cheek. "Yes!" She said.  She was really happy that You had confessed. Chika now had a girlfriend, and better yet, her girlfriend was the most caring and beautiful girl she knew, You watanabe. Chika's tiredness was gone, and she was awake and happy.
