Sick Chika X You

Chika was asleep in her bed. She had a bad fever and wasn't feeling well at all. She would occasionally wake up coughing and drink some water, then fall back asleep. Her sisters came in every hour or two to check on her. It was a school day and Chika was too sick to text You, so her sisters had to text You, asking her if she could bring the days homework over for Chika and some notes. You replied, saying she would, and that she would head over there as soon as school let out for the day. You had a feeling she would have to stop by for a few days until Chika was feelings better.

Once school let out, You packed up all her stuff. She had more than usual to pack up since she had to ask every teacher for an extra page of the homework assignments so she could bring them to Chika. All the teachers had understood and given her an extra page. Once her bag was all packed, she quickly left the classroom. She had Riko go explain to the rest of Aqours why she and Chika wouldn't be at practice for a few days.

You left the school and hurried to the bus. She wanted to get there fast since she had promised she would be there as soon as she could after school let out. She got on the bus and sat down in the back. It felt a little strange just sitting there by herself. She was used to having Chika and Riko sitting next to her. The bus eventually stopped at the nearest bus stop to Chika's house, so she got off and walked quickly towards Chika's house.

While walking there, she started to wonder how bad Chika's cold was. It was bad enough that she couldn't even pick up her phone to text You. Soon she got to the inn and walked over to the entrance that led to the part of the inn that Chika lived in. She knocked on the door a few times and waited. A few seconds later the door was answered by Shima.

"Hello You-san, come on inside." She said.  You thanked her and walked inside. She had been there many times so she knew exactly where Chika's room was. "Chika's got a mask covering her mouth, but careful not to get to get too close to her since she's really sick." Shima warned. "Ok" You replied and walked to Chika's room. The door was closed and Shiitake was sleeping beside it. She opened the door carefully in case Chika was asleep and walked into the room.

She looked at Chika's bed and saw her laying in it. She was asleep, but her breathing was off and she had a mask covering her mouth. The mask had little mikan prints on it. You felt really bad for her. She quietly set the homework papers down on the table on the floor and grabbed some extra paper to copy down the notes she had taken for Chika. She also set her bag down.

While doing all that, she accidentally forgot to set the pencil down softly and it made a small noise. "Hm..?" Chika said. You froze when she realized she had accidentally woken Chika up. She stood up and walked close to the bed "Hey Chika-chan. I know you're really sick so I won't stay long, I just wanted to bring over today's homework and notes." She said.

"Oh..thanks, You-chan." Chika said and then coughed a few times. "Do you need anything Chika-chan? Water? A cold and damp cloth?" You asked. She was worried about Chika after hearing her coughing. "I want...a hug." Chika said. You guessed she wasn't thinking very logically cause she was tired.

"Sorry Chika-chan, but Shima-san told me not to get too close." You explained. "Don't... care.. please? I've got a mask on." Chika begged. You hesitated for a second, but gave in. "Jeez Chika-chan, I can't say no to you." She said and sighed. Chika grinned and weakly held out her arms towards You. "I'm going to get sick from this aren't I?" You mumbled to herself. She leaned down and gave Chika a quickly hug, then she pulled away.

"That wasn't long enough." Chika whined. "You wanted a hug, and I gave you a hug." You argued. She honestly did want to hug Chika more, a lot more, but she knew she shouldn't. Chika looked upset "One more then.." she said and coughed. "Fine, but no more after that." You said. She gave Chika one more hug, but then Chika turned and brought You onto the bed. Once You was on the bed, Chika hugged her tighter and also wrapped her legs around You. "Now you can't leave." Chika said burrowed her face into You's neck.

"Hey, Chika-chan, I said only one more hug." You said. "It's still the same hug. You never said it couldn't last for a long time." Chika argued. You sighed again and kept hugging Chika back. She knew she couldn't reason with a sick Chika. "Fine, we'll cuddle for as long as you want to, but try to get some sleep, ok?" She asked. Chika nodded. Since You couldn't see her face, she just had to hope Chika had listened and was trying to sleep. She closed her eyes and started to fall asleep too.

Then Chika moved her head away from You's neck and scooted up a little so she'd be face to face with You. "I love you, You-chan.." she said tiredly. You kissed her forehead "I love you too Chika-chan, even if you're unreasonable and are going to probably get me sick." She said. Chika giggled a little and then fell asleep. You wondered if Chika was going to remember what happened. If not, knowing Chika liked her too gave her more confidence so she was fine with having to make a second confession.

Soon You fell asleep too. She woke up in the morning to Chika kissing her. Her eyes widened, but she didn't try to move away. Eventually Chika moved away and put her face mask back on "Morning You-chan. I'm feeling a little better today." She said. You took a second to process what had just happened, then she smiled "Good morning Chika-cha-." She was interrupted by a cough that was her own. "Chika-chan! I knew you were going to get me sick if we cuddled!"
