(This takes place years in the future when their both adults.)
Chika looked out at the blue water and watched a dolphin jump out of the water, then splash back into the water. She was on a large ship. She had decided to become a sailor because You became a captain and she didn't want to be separated from her wife, You for long periods of time.
There were a few other crew mates of hers on the ship. She had gotten used to working with them, but she preferred to spend most of her time with the captain of course. She softly chuckled as she watched the dolphin continuously jump in and out of the water while it tried to swim next to the boat.
Chika was glad she had decided to sail around with You. She got to see so many new places and so many cute aquatic animals. She felt someone hug her from behind and she smiled, knowing just who it was. She turned her head a little and kissed You on the cheek. "Good afternoon captain." She said.
You lightly blushed "Good afternoon." She said. Then You let go of Chika and stood beside her. She also looked down at the dolphin swimming beside the ship. "Aww, what a cute little dolphin. Is that what you've been looking at for the past fifteen minutes?" You asked. Chika paused for a second. Had she really been staring at the dolphin for fifteen minutes already? She looked down at her watch. Apparently it had been fifteen minutes.
"I didn't realize I've been staring at it for so long. I guess I was enjoying how playful the dolphin looked when it jumped." Chika said. "Does it remind you of when we used to be school idols?" You asked. Chika nodded. "I miss those days. Getting to shine on stage with everyone was so much fun." She said. You put an arm around Chika's shoulders "Well, now we get to have fun sailing all around the world and seeing new places. We're still getting to shine, just in a different and more calm way." You said.
"You're right. Thanks You-chan." Chika said and laid her head down on You's shoulder. Even if she missed being a school idol, it was also fun to be a sailor. Better than ending up with some office job and just sitting at a computer all day anyways. Chika didn't like the thought of getting an office job. She wanted to shine with everything she did, and now she got to shine even brighter because she had You always beside her.
Some of the other sailors on board were a bit jealous that Chika got most of the captains attention, while others would occasionally tease them for being all lovey dovey. Chika didn't mind though, she wasn't going to let them bother her. The teasing did make her blush sometimes though. When that happened, You would usually order them to go do something.
And to be fair, Chika still did a lot to help everyone out. She cleaned the deck every other day and helped prepare meals. She didn't want the others to think she was getting an easier job because she was married to the captain so You was be softer on her. You also ordered her around the same way as she told everyone else what to do while they were working, but Chika was taking a break at the moment.
"I think it's time for everyone to go on lunch break. What sounds good for lunch?" You asked. "Mikans" Chika replied. You laughed "Of course, but we have to eat more than just mikans. What else sounds good?" She asked. "Hmm..." Chika took a few seconds to think. "How about curry? We've got lots of rice and fish and other food like that." She suggested. "Sure! If curry sounds good, that's what I'll make." You replied.
Then You walked away to go prepare the food. Chika hurried after her and walked beside her. She wanted to help make the food. "How long until we reach the next place we're sailing to?" Chika asked. "About three or four days depending on the how the strong the wind and waves are." You replied. The sea was unpredictable sometimes. It could be soft water one minute, and aggressive waves the next few minutes.
Luckily the day was sunny and calm so far so the ship was making good progress. You opened a bag of rice and put it in the rice cooking pot which took used batteries instead of needing to be plugged in. Everything electronic on the ships was that way since the ship didn't have anyway of letting things be plugged in and charged.
Chika opened a large ice chest and pulled out some fish that she had helped some of the other crew members catch recently. She put them in a pan and over a stove that had an actual fire lit inside of it. The fish began to cook. While Chika was letting the fish cook, she started working on the rest of the things they would need for curry with You.
About twenty minutes later, everything was done and they had a bunch of plates with curry and rice. Chika walked over to where everyone was working and told them lunch had been made so it was time for a lunch break. They all looked excited and got up to go eat. Lunch always meant delicious food and a nice break from working.
Chika finished eating and put the dishes away. All the other sailors went back to work. "Thanks for always helping cook the meals." You said. Chika walked over and kissed her "Of course. I'll always be here to help you." She said softly. You wrapped her arms loosely around Chika's neck and kissed her for a long while. Then they both moved their heads away and smiled at each other.
"Guess I better get back to work now." Chika said. You nodded "Good luck" she said. Chika left and went to go help the other sailors. She knew she was lucky to have such an amazing wife and captain, and that was what kept her motivated to keep working each and every day.
