Fitz's Pov Before Kidnapping

I can't believe she got detention, it's almost like she wants to be with Keefe and not me. I roll my eyes at that thought. I hope lunch is good today, I mean without Sophie and Keefe. I grab a tray and some food and walk over to our usual spot.

"Hey, guys. What's up?" I ask sitting down between Lihn and Biana.

"Nothing much. I heard Sophie got detention, with Keefe," Lihn acknowledges.

"Yeah, I hope everything is ok! I mean what would she even do to get herself detention. Especially the day that Lady Galvin is doing ballroom dancing," Biana exclaims.

I start to shake in anger with the thought of my girlfriend and best friend dancing together, "I don't-"

"What do you mean 'what would she even do to get herself detention'? This is Sophie we're talking about. She probably somehow accidentally made Bonte super happy or something during their inflicting session," Dex chimed in.

"Dex, you're spending way to much time with Keefe. You are starting to sound like him. I mean you are probably right though, about Sophie," Tam sneers.

Biana laughs and shoves Dex playfully, "We all know we do not need another Keefe Sencen in our group. One is enough."

"I agree," I growl clenching my teeth and remembering the exact moment when Biana dared them to kiss.

The bell rings signaling the end of lunch so I bolt quickly to my locker trying to avoid everyone. I was anxious for Telepathy because I want to talk to Sophie about what happened at the sleepover and detention and how I felt about it. I walk into Sir Tiergan's room to find it empty.

"Where is Sophie?" I ask.

"I'm not sure, she's probably just late," Tiergan replies.

We wait and after about half an hour I give up, "I'm going to try transmitting to her,"

I stretch out my consciousness till I feel a familiar pull, Sophie.

Keefe's Pov

"Sophie, wake up please, you need to wake up!" I beg trough tears.

The Neverseen took us, after all this time of trying to redeem myself from me leaving to join them and my Legacy I can't believe I actually manifested as a Mesmer. It's been four years! I thought we had gotten rid of them for good. Yet here they are, stronger than ever it seems like. If anything happens to Sophie I swear everyone in this organization will pay.

"W-Where am I?" she whispers her eyes fluttering open.

"Oh thank god! Sophie are you ok?" I stumble.

"W-Who's Sophie? Who are you?" she asks in a panic.

"Sophie? Are you messing with me because if so that is not cool," I huff.

The only response I get is a blank stare. Before I could say anything else a cloaked figure opened the door and stepped into the cell. The figure pushed off their hood and standing before me was Jolie, Jolie Ruewen.
