Party Planning

Biana's Pov

"Sophie!" I shriek throwing her door wide open. "Why did you not tell me about this amazing holiday where you get to dress up?"

"Oh no, no... B I think that you misunderstood-" she starts.

"What is there to misunderstand? You are going to look absolutely gorgeous for Keefe!" I interrupt.

Sophie tries again, "Bian-"

"I have all the perfect accessories! Oooo we have to go shopping!"

"Biana no."

"BIANA YES!"

"Shut up and let me explain you, insane shopaholic!" Sophie screams.

I look away sheepishly, "Sorry...."

"Halloween is where you dress up in costumes. Like for instance if Keefe wanted to be a Gullon for Halloween he would create a costume to look like that. Sort of like our Mastodon costumes but cooler and more comfortable, plus with less dancing," she explains. "Then most people go trick or treating, but I have a feeling we will just end up doing a party."

I nod my head, "Got it, so what are you going to be?"

"I was thinking Batman and Batgirl for me and Keefe!"

I gasp in horror, "You mean the germ-infested flying rodents?!"

Sophie breaks down into hysterical laughter, "Oh god no. B they are like super famous superheroes from the Forbidden Cities."

"Oh," I giggle blushing. "Well, I'm probably gonna be an Alicorn! Maybe I can take some inspiration from Luna, Wynn, Silveny, and Greyfell."

"That's great," Sophie laughs. "Well I know Marella really wanted to help plan the Halloween party so should I send her in? You two can do whatever you want for it. I'm going to talk to Juline and see if she has any human horror movies."

I nod and Sophie runs out the door, I'm sure excited to get out of talking about clothes and party planning. I pull out my sketchbook flipping to an empty page. I may not be as talented as an artist as Keefe, but designing clothes is one of my many strong suits. I start brainstorming what I want my costume to look like. Maybe something a little less traditional, like a pantsuit! Yeah! A pantsuit with a skirt that flairs out at the waist but has an opening where the legs are, it will be a perfect shimmery white, and when you move it turns different colors such as pink, lavender, light yellow, pastel green, sky blue. Kinda like Jolie's dress that Edaline let me have. I can design some heels that have wings on the side of them! I can see if there are any hair elixirs at Slurps and Burps to get some pink, purple, and blue highlights in my hair! Ooooh and then for makeup I could-

"Biana!" Marella exclaims clapping her hands in front of my face. "I have been yelling your name for five minutes! What kind of world are you in?" 

I glance up at my frantic friend, "Sorry! I was thinking about Halloween Costumes!"

Marella's face softens a bit and she pulls out a huge binder full of different fabrics, drawings, and plans, "Alright, so I have a few ideas already, but I need your help on decorations and food."

"Didn't Sophie just tell us about this like an hour ago?" I ask.

"You have no idea how many relatives have asked me to plan parties," she replies tossing her braided hair behind her shoulder.

I giggle a bit at her dry humor, I never really noticed how funny Marella is. She flips through pages and pages of her book and shows one to me that is filled with cloth. 

"Okay, so I was thinking Tyrian Purple with compliments of Burnt Orange with black lace trim cloth hanging in a flowy kind of drape on the walls. Grey tablecloths with lace edges, goblets with a punchbowl to serve that has smoke coming off of it, I think that Lihn and I could figure out how to make Lushberry juice steam. Everyone obviously is going to dress up, I asked Edaline to make some Custard Bursts and I need to figure out some new flavors, I was thinking maybe pumpkin with raspberry filling!" she rushes out gasping.

"Marella! You have to relax! Breathe. I love the color scheme it's perfect for the spooky vibe, I was thinking we could make those things, the pumpkins with the scary faces. Japkalanterns I think! I love the idea for the Custard Bursts perhaps we could do a few other flavors? I think we should make Cala's stew though as well," I list as Marella scrambles to write everything down. "Now let's take a break from this because clearly, you have been stressing. Stressing causes wrinkles you know. Let's get our costumes figured out. I have the most perfect designer we can go to, she also owns a boutique for accessories!!"

Marella looks at me with a twinkle in her eye like she is seeing me for the first time, "Let's go have a fashion show!!"

Sorry for the shortish chapter! My school has blocked Wattpad *ROLLS EYES* so I can't write during the weekdays, I will try to update as much as possible!
