"Oh, hell yeah! Mexican is the best!" Scarlett jumped up from her chair.

Max and Kevin also got up and headed to the front door. Kennedy soon followed taking my hand in hers, and we ran after the group, as we headed towards a great Mexican adventure.

"Are we in the mood to walk or do we want to drive?" Max asked everyone.

"Can we walk, please Dad?" Scarlett asked.

"Sure," He smiled, and we all started walking to the Mexican restaurant.

"So Scarlett is your sister?" I asked Kennedy.

"Yeah, we found her living on the streets when we were both little so we took her in. Now we are all one big happy family," She smiled at me.

She was happy here and I could see why. Who wouldn't want a family who is so loving and accepting?

I wish my family was just a little bit more like hers.

"Angel, what's wrong?" Kennedy looked at me concerned.

"I just wish that my family could be as great as yours is. I didn't even know anything about gay stuff before I came to Cali. Why would God do something like this to me?" I started to cry out.

I knew that this break down was coming but I didn't know it would be this soon.

"Ella," She held me tightly and the entire entourage stopped walking.

"I-I'm s-sorry," I mumbled out. I knew I was being a party pooper.

"Hey," Kennedy pulled me away slightly so I could look into her eyes, "Everyone, especially you deserve to be loved and accepted. Everyone wants that. It is okay to be having negative thoughts and feelings. It's a part of what makes us human. Without the bad times the good times wouldn't be as precious," Kennedy started wiping away my tears.

I did some breathing exercises, which Kevin helped lead me in, and stood up after a few minutes of calming myself down.

"Thank you guys for helping me get through that. I've never had a breakdown that bad before..." I smiled nervously running my hand across the back of my neck.

"It's alright, everyone has breakdowns from time to time. It's healthy to get our feelings out," Kevin smiled.

"Pops is a therapist, so he deals with this kind of stuff a lot," Scarlett said, smiling cheesily.

"What does Max do?" I asked curiously. he was very muscular, so I thought he maybe worked in construction or something.

"I'm a math teacher actually," Max answered smiling.

"Where do you teach?" I asked curiously.

"I teach at Central High school, but I only teach the higher math," He explained.

That explains why I haven't seen him around campus.

"Ella, what do you want to do when you grow up?" Scarlett asked me.

"O-oh, I haven't really thought about that..." I admitted, "What about you Scarlett?"

"I want to own a dog, and write books about space," Scarlett said with a gleam in her eye that tells me she wasn't joking.

"What do you want to do Kennedy?" Scarlett asked. I'm sure she already knew, so she was probably asking for my sake.

"I want to be a lesbian lawyer," Kennedy said with much confidence.

Everyone laughed at her little joke, and the conversation stopped since we had arrived at the famous Mexican restaurant.

The restaurant was good, but I was very nervous that my parents were watching me. It was just me being anxious, but other than that dinner was great.
