We had walked to the mall, which was only a few minutes away. We were walking hand in hand in the mall, and there were only three of them, but they were very interesting people. They were very loud, and they had unintentionally gotten the attention of a mall cop.

I giggled.

Are these Kennedy's friends?

"Oh, no, not again with Steve," She facepalmed and she started booking it towards the group.

I followed her walking quickly after her.

"You kids need to pipe it down, this is a public place and you guys are practically screaming!" The slightly heavier set man towered over the teens at the table in the mall cafeteria.

"I am so sorry Officer Steve," Kennedy said when she got close enough to him to talk, "I know my friends can be loud at times, but I will make sure to keep them out of trouble," She faked an innocent-looking smile, hoping she had convinced him to leave her and her friends alone.

"What's keeping me from kicking the five of you out right now? Last time you said you would keep them out of trouble, you guys all played hide and seek at The Home Store!" Officer Steve seemed furious.

I decided it best to interject, "Excuse me, Officer?" I smiled sweetly at him.

"Yes, miss?" He looked at me, slightly irritated.

"I am new in town, and I am trying to make some new friends, I'm an only child, and I've never really connected to people that well. I came to the mall today with my classmate to meet her friends. I'm sorry if they are causing problems, but I've never been in such a big place before! I feel so out of place, but if you want us to, we can leave, sorry for any trouble we may have caused you," I smiled softly and sadly to make him feel bad once I had finished my pitty speech.

"Oh, I guess you seem like a responsible reasonable young lady, keep these hooligans out of trouble," He smiled and walked slowly away.

"How did you get him off our dicks?" One of Kennedy's friends looked up at me.

I couldn't tell their gender, not that it mattered, but they had brown eyes with short spiked black hair. The person sitting next to them was basically sitting on their lap. They had light blue eyes with slightly longer purple hair with a bit of black root showing.

"Alex, give the chick a break," Said the blue-eyed person.

"Felix," Alex stared then sighed, "Sorry we should probably introduce ourselves, I'm Alex, this is my boyfriend, Felix, our pronouns are he/him."

Felix smirked, "What are your pronouns?"

"Oh, um," I wasn't used to introducing myself with pronouns, this will be something I'd have to get used to, "I'm Ella, my pronouns are she/her,"

"Oh, so this is that amazing girl you keep telling us about?" Another person started talking. I had almost forgotten they were there.

"My name is River, my pronouns are they/them," River smiled then put their head back down on the table.

"River, please be nice," Kennedy smiled from behind me, she looked nervous, probably hoping I approved of her friends and her friends approved of me.

"I'm sorry, but neither of them will shut up today. It's super annoying!" They groaned irritably.

"Your soulmate?" I ask them. River seemed very distracted.

"Soulmates babe," They didn't elaborate.

"Wait you have more than one??? I didn't know people could have more than one soulmate!"

"Kennedy where did you find her seems like she's never been exposed to any type of queer culture..." Alex smirked.
