I got to school and I was very confused as to what was happening.

I walked in and Kennedy was in her usual spot. I stopped sat down and questioned her, "Angel, when are you gonna tell me what we are doing at school today."

She smirked, "Never love, you will just have to find out yourself."

I groaned and grabbed my head. "UGG, why not?"

"You'll just have to be patient love." She blushed lightly.

I wondered what she was thinking to make her blush. I blushed at the thoughts of what she could be thinking of.

Okay, let's find out what's happening, "Is it a good thing or a bad thing?"

She smiled and said, "Depends."

"Well, if I don't know if it's good or bad, how do I know if I should be nervous or excited?" I whined and pouted.

She laughed, it was a cute laugh, "Don't be nervous love, you will be fine." She stood up slung on her black bag and the bell rang. We all headed to the gym.

The gym was packed with students and bags where lining the halls. I dropped mine next to Kennedy's and ran after her.

I smiled as I came up next to her and she clasped a hand over her mouth, blushed and turned away. Awwww, I can make her blush. I smiled wider and grabbed her hand. She turns into an actual tomato and rubs the back of her neck still looking away.

I love how I affect her. We walked into the assembly and sat down in a section. It read, 'for testing' and most older students were sitting in couples by themselves.

I gulped and decided this would be something to be nervous about, I don't know why my anxiety came then, and I never will, but she saw, and she knew and she squeezed my hand and everything was okay again.

"We have to register as soulmates. Then we can go on with our lives and everything will be normal," She smiled.

It wasn't that simple. We were taken individually into a room and asked to sing a portion of a song. They took my Kennedy away from me

That is not aloud, I thought as the teachers took her away from me. She was locked in a room by herself and an administrator. I heard her singing in the room. She was singing Broken...

"I like that you're broken

Broken like me

Maybe that makes me a fool

I like that you're lonely

Lonely like me

I could be lonely with you."

The school took in a section at a time to a back room where they were all eventually sent back to the bleachers. I didn't know what they did back there but I would find out eventually.

"I met you late night, at a party

Some trust fund baby's Brooklyn loft

By the bathroom, you said let's talk

But my confidence is wearing off

These aren't my people

These aren't my friends

She grabbed my face and that's when she said..."

The next section was called in and again they all returned to their spots on the bleachers.

"I like that you're broken

Broken like me

Maybe that makes me a fool

I like that you're lonely

Lonely like me

I could be lonely with you,"

Again, they went in then came back out.

"There's something tragic, but almost pure

Think I could love you, but I'm not sure

There's something wholesome, there's something sweet

Tucked in your eyes that I'd love to meet

These aren't my people

These aren't my friends

She grabbed my face and that's when she said

I like that you're broken

Broken like me

Maybe that makes me a fool

I like that you're lonely

Lonely like me

I could be lonely with you"

Again, they go in and out

"Life is not a love song that we like

We're all broken pieces floating by

Life is not a love song, we can try

To fix our broken pieces one at a time

I like that you're broken

Broken like me

Maybe that makes me a fool..."

In and out.

"I like that you're lonely

Lonely like me

I could be lonely with you

I like that you're broken

Broken like me

Maybe that makes me a fool

I like that you're lonely

Lonely like me

I could be lonely with you..."

Then my section was led into a room. They asked what song she was singing and I answered, "Broken". The lady lit up at that and admitted me into the back room of the 'testing center'. She was there, singing the song under her breath, with the lyrics in front of her, singing out in a beautiful melody. I missed her, her hair, her smile, her hand in mine, her warmth, and I missed her more than I had ever missed anyone ever.

This includes that time my parents left me in a gas station, and I almost got kidnaped.

She looked up when I entered and smiled, a big goofy grin. She stopped singing, got up, ran to me and get this, she kissed me actually kissed me! I felt my face heating up... I was blushing hard and I could feel it... I dropped my face down onto her shoulder and Kennedy laughed then held me in her arms...
