"You want to do what!?"
"I heard there is a witch in New Orleans that can turn a witch into a vampire and still keep their powers. I have to go." I repeat
"Klaus is in New Orleans. If he realizes why you're there, he'll kill you." Damon says
"First off, he can't kill me because I gave him my blood. Second, he hasn't asked for my blood in months."
"That's because you've been pregnant." Damon makes a point
"What if I take Caroline with me?" I look at him
"Klaus does have a soft spot for her." He adds
"SHE is right here. Katherine... I would love to help, but me and Klaus haven't talked in months. I don't think I'll be the best option to come with you." She says
"How about this... Caroline AND Stefan both come with me."
"Now you're dragging me into this?" Stefan asks
"Come on guys... I think we all know that I'm stronger as a vampire. Mix that with my magic, I can stop whatever Qetsiyah and Amara are planning. Please guys, help me."
I move my lips into a frown and I look at them all with sad eyes. Everyone just looks at me and I try to make my face look even more sad. Of course Stefan is the one to give in first.
"Fine, I'll come with you. Caroline?" He turns to face her
I turn to her as well and put my hands in a praying motion "Please?"
"It's so not like you to beg Katherine, but since you are... I'll some to." She finally gives in too
"Good, because if you guys said no I would have went alone. We leave in an hour." I smile
"An hour? Can't it wait until tomorrow?" Stefan questions
"It's already been two weeks since Nadia left with Ava. The sooner I can become a vampire, the better. I'm gonna go get ready." I walk away
Stefan's POV
Katherine quickly runs up stairs and I turn to the group. "Well that was interesting."
"You gave in to easily, brother. She's going on a suicide mission." Damon replies
"Well if I didn't give she would have went by herself anyway, and that's more dangerous than if me and Caroline were going." I add
"Still, what if the witch story isn't true. What will we do then?" He asks
"It is a true story."
"How do you know that?" Damon asks
"I know... because I've met her. Trust me, Damon. Katherine found a way to protect herself and her daughter, I think it's best we let her do it."
"Just think about it. If you had a daughter, wouldn't you do anything to protect her?" Elena chimes in
Damon just stands there and doesn't say a thing.
"Of course I would. No doubt about it, but this could be a potentially dangerous situation for her. What if she dies and never comes back, Hm?"
No one says anything and Katherine comes down the stairs and walks towards us.
"It's a choice I'm willing to make." She says
"It would be a dumb choice then. Do you really want Ava to be without her mother, her father?"
"Silas has nothing to do with this. He's been a vampire for only 9 months, he can't control his emotions or his blood lust. There is no way I would let him see Ava with him that way." She explains
"If you turn yourself into a vampire, you're still putting her in the same position. You're gonna be exactly like Silas, especially if you haven't been a vampire in well over two years. I'm just saying you should really think about this."
"I did, Damon and I stand in my position. I'm going to New Orleans and becoming a vampire, okay?" She tilts her head to the side
"Fine, but if anything happens... I'll kill Klaus myself." He smirks at her
"I don't think you could go through with it." She laughs at him
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asks, confused
"Remember? When an original dies, their whole sire line dies with them." I answer
"Shit. Then I'll kill Elijah, or Rebekah. Either one works for me."
"This is nice and all but we have a long drive ahead of us, we should probably get going. Caroline, we'll stop at your house so we can get a few things. Let's go." She demands us
Katherine's POV
We get to Caroline's house and it only takes her about five minutes to get the stuff she needs. She comes out of her house, her mom behind her. She gets to the car and puts her stuff in the car. Her mother waves at us as we pull off.
"Caroline?" I look at her
"Hm?"
"Why do you have a whole suitcase?" I simply ask
"Well I have some clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, a hair straightener and curler iron, and some makeup."
"You do know that we are only going to be there for a few days. Right?"
"Um... yeah." She answers quietly
"Oh, I see." Stefan looks back at her
"You want to look all pretty for Klaus." He snickers
"I do not. Who says we were even going to bump into him?" She raises her brown
"Your suitcase." I just laugh
"I'm very high maintenance, you guys out of all people should know that. I'd be careful of what you say, Katherine. I might smother you with a pillow while you're sleeping." She just smiles
"You so totally suck right now, Caroline."
We talked like this for a few hours, it was good distraction from everything. I didn't think about Amara and Qetsiyah's plotting. I didn't worry about Silas and I definitely didn't worry if this plan was actually going to work or not. Eventually I fell asleep and was asleep for who knows how long before I woke up. I was ready to become a vampire again and take down those who oppose me. Wow... I'm starting to sound a lot like Klaus. I laugh to myself.
"What are you laughing about over there?" Stefan looks at me
"Nothing. Just thinking to myself." I say
"No matter, we're here." He smiles
I watch as we pass the 'Welcome to New Orleans' sign
"Yes, yes we are." I smile back at him
