Chapter Ten: Take That, Bitch!

I throw my bags onto the floor and look around at the empty living room. I'm a little disappointed when nobody is anywhere to be seen. 

"And here I was thinking I would have a welcome party." I turn to Stefan and smile 

"They're probably asleep, Katherine." 

"It's ten o'clock! Who goes to bed that early?" I joke 

The door open and I turn around to face Damon and Elena.

"See, ten o'clock is too early to go to bed." I giggle 

"Who thought we were sleeping?" Damon asks 

"Stefan." 

"I did." 

We both answer at the same time. We exchange looks and Stefan smiles at me. 

"So how did it go? Where's care?" Elena asks 

"We dropped her off at home. Our trip to New Orleans was.... interesting to say the least." Stefan answers 

Damon and Elena look towards me and Elena raises her brow.

"Well we went to this bar, where we saw Klaus. Instead of staying at a hotel he asked us to stay at his place and we accepted. There was a few originals, an attempted confession of love, and a wedding. Then we visited this witch called 'Madame Voodoo' who tried to tell me about Amara and Qetsiyah's plan but couldn't because she was somehow getting blocked out. and one more thing..."

I pause and vamp speed over to the bookshelf. Damon and Elena's face both cover with shock. 

"Just you wait." 

I close my eyes and point my hand to the bookshelf and focus. I try to think of a book that I know Damon has and float it off the shelf and into my hand. I turn to the two surprised faces and smile. 

"Great Expectations, my favorite." I can't get enough of the looks I'm getting

"So you're a vampire again?" Damon comes up to me  

"Yeah, but sadly no longer a strong five hundred year old vampire. But hey, you get what you get. Magic is a plus. We... are celebrating. I'm gonna go get ready!" 

I smile as I vamp speed up the stairs, leaving them alone. 

Stefan's POV 

"Guys... I think we need to talk about Katherine." I say worrying  

"Why? She seems really happy." 

"The woman in New Orleans..." I hesitate 

"Out with it, Stefan." Damon demands 

"The first chance Katherine got... she killed her." 

Elena's mouth drops in surprise but then she quickly closes it. "And?" Damon asks 

"And? Remember the Katherine we knew when she was a vampire? Do we really want her to be like again?" 

"Yeah, Damon. Stefan has a point." Elena agrees with me 

"What's wrong with that?" 

"What happened to that bitch ruined our lives? Huh? Katherine has grown so much since becoming human. Not only is she a vampire again but she is also a witch. Do we really want her to get out of control?" I raise my brows at him 

I hear heels clicking down the stairs and I turn around and to my surprise Katherine looks like her old vampire self. She has a huge smile plastered on her face as she walks towards us. She takes one look at us and her happy face turns into an angry one.
