Chapter Three: You Can't Be Here

"Silas, you can't keep showing up like that. You have to leave." 

"Why?" He asks with sad eyes 

"Amara was here. Her and Qetsiyah are probably cooking up some plans. I don't need you here putting mine and my baby's life in danger." 

"The baby is mine too. You can't forget that." 

"No, I can't. But you've been gone months and I've had to be by myself. For SIX months Silas you have been nowhere to be found and now you pop up out of nowhere and put my daughter in danger." 

"Daughter?" He looks down at my belly  

"Yes, daughter and her name is Ava. Now go." 

"Earlier you wanted me to stay. What changed?" He questions 

"I let my feelings for you cloud my judgement. Then I woke up and realized I was putting my baby in danger. It was better and safer with you not here. Now I'm gonna have lunch with my friends." I walk past him 

"With Stefan?" 

"Stefan, Damon and Elena. I gotta go." I continue to walk off when he gently grabs my wrist 

"Katherine..." He says my name calmly 

"Leave and never come back. For the sake of your daughter." And with that I walk out the door. 

I get downstairs and only Elena is in the foyer, reading a book. 

"Is everyone ready?" I ask 

She puts down her book and looks at me. She examines my outfit and smiles. 

"You haven't curled your hair in forever, whats the occasion?" 

"Nothing, I just want to feel like my old self, even just a little bit."  I state 

"Well look what we have here."

We turn around to see Stefan and Damon. They're both dressed in their regular clothes and of course Stefan with his hero hair. I always forget how good they both always look, My Salvatore Brothers. 

"What are you smiling about?" Stefan asks 

"Nothing. Just happy to be here, let's go get some food. I'm starving." 

*Mystic Grill*

We walk in and see the nothing but the boring Matt Donovan. He rolls his eyes as we walk toward him.

"You guys can't find anywhere else to eat?" He asks annoyed 

"Hey Matt, Remember that time Elena became a vampire because of you?" Damon tilts his head to the side 

"Damon..." Elena hits him in the arm "We'll find another place to eat." She goes to turn around

"I'm sorry, Elena. Of course you guys can eat here, it's a free country." 

"Thanks, Matty." I smile as I walk past him, grabbing one of the menus out of his hand 

We walk towards the booth and then just in a second my day is ruined once again. We bump into both Amara AND Qetsiyah. Qetsiyah eyes me up and down and then straight into my eyes. 

"Katherine." She just says my name 

"Tessa." I mock her 

I see in her face as she gets annoyed with the name she once gave herself 2 years ago. She just looks at me and smiles. 

"It was nice to see you, Katherine." 

I just stare at her as she leans down to my ear. "I'm going to kill you." She threatens 

I just let out a little chuckle and lean in closer to her, "I'd like to see you try." 

I just wink at her and strut away from her right to the booth. We all sit down when a girl comes to the table and greets us. She takes our orders and then walks away.

"Katherine, you should be careful with Miss Crazy Pants over there." Damon nods his head to a scowling Qetsiyah. 

"She might be crazy, but she doesn't scare me. I ran from a Hybrid for 500 years who killed my family. She's NOTHING compared to Klaus. Now I have something I have to tell you guys." 

Stefan looks at me with curiosity and just waits until I say something. I nod my head over to Amara and Qetsiyah. "I wanna make sure they're gone first." 

I wait until I'm satisfied that they're completely gone before I speak up. 

"Well?" Damon asks 

"Okay. Silas came to see me today." I give them a moment for that information to sink in

"He what?!" Stefan raises his voice a little

"Does he know how danger he could have put you and your daughter in?" Elena asks 

"I know, that's why I told him not to come back. I have to get my daughter away from this town and I'm going to need your help." 

"What can we do?" Elena looks at me 

"Bonnie's here. This is where I'm going to need your help." They all look towards her 

"Hey, Elena. What did you call me for?" 

"I di-" Elena looks towards me 

"I did. Um... I wanted to ask you a huge favor and I don't know if you'll like it or not." 

"Sure what is it?" Bonnie seams interested 

"Katherine." 

Bonnie looks to me when she hears my name. "Katherine?" She raises a brow 

"Bonnie Bennett. You look lovely today." I smile 

"What do you want, Katherine?" 

"You know how there is this whole thing with Qetsiyah going on?" I question

"Yeah, why?" She looks at all of us confused 

"It just got a whole lot worse." Damon butts in 

"Well you see... Amara came to us this morning. To taunt us or whatever. We believe, we now know that her and Qetsiyah are working together." 

"Silas came to. The point is Bonnie.. is that it's getting too dangerous for my child to be here. I fear that if I stay with my child while this is going on, she'll get hurt." 

"What are you asking Katherine? Take your daughter of town and hide her? Bonnie asks 

"No, I just need your magic. My daughters safety is very important to me. I want her safe until this blows over." 

"So what are you even asking, Katherine." Elena looks towards me 

I take a few minutes of silences so I can make sure I'm making the best decision for my daughter. I look at everyone waiting for my answer and then I look down at my stomach. I've made my decision. 

"When I give birth... I'll need you to cloak Nadia and Ava so they can't be found. Can you help me?" 

She just stands there and stares at me. She like me looks down at my stomach and then back at me.

"I'll do it."
