Chapter 18

Uila gave Raihan one last kiss on the cheek before exiting the house to get to route 6. Greninja, Lucario, and her running past the orange-haired Professor's Assistant. "Sorry!" Sonia blinked. "Is that, Raihan's jersey?"

Uila laughs as she tackles Greninja into a hug. "C'mere you!" They fall to the ground and laugh. Lucario just stands there. "Alright, we'll take a quick break and make a game plan. Since I plan on fighting Bea, I'll use Oricorio, in her Pa'u form. It will give us a leg up since she will take little-to no damage and do a lot of damage. I'll have her hold the Flynium Z and use Supersonic Skystrike to take down the Dynamaxed or Gigantimaxed pokemon."

Her partners nod and she smiles. She takes the two eggs out of her bag, cleaning them and checking for damage before placing them back in her bag. She grabs Oricorio's pokeball and let's her out. "We are going to get in some last-minute training. You down?" She nods. I give her some pink nectar and she shifts form gracefully. "Alright, we are going against the fighting-type gym, so we want to be prepared." Uila attaches a Flynium Z around Oricorio's neck and she cooes happily. "Alright, we are going to do a quick test run to make sure." She does the dance, imitating a bird before punching her fist into the sky. "Oricorio, use Supersonic Skystrike!" Oricorio hit the rock dead on, at first it seemed like nothing happened, before it cracked and splintered into many different pieces.

"Good job Oricorio! Now, let's go get that fighting badge!" Before she could continue she got a text from Kukui. 'Hey, what does it feel like when you Mega Evolve?' She pauses for a moment. 'It's hard to describe. You can see, feel, and sense everything you're pokemon can. You feel raw power coursing through you body. It's intoxicating but tiring." A few moments pass before he texts back. 'Thanks.'

She shakes her head and puts her phone away. "Alright, for real this time, lets go get that gym badge." Her and her team make their way through the weird cliffs, finding a couple of fossils and wiping the floor with the poor souls that challenged her. She makes her way to the gym, changing into her uniform and handing her bag to Ampharos and Manectric to watch. She stretches and one of the staff asks who she would like to battle. "Bea." He raises a brow. "You sure?" She huffs. "Yes."

She makes her way into the Challenge Room, and it has a Pinball vibe. "Rotate the tube to shift directions." She sits in the tube and makes her way through the challenge. She shakily gets out, feeling the immense urge to vomit but calms herself down before heading into the pitch. She steps onto the field, growing accustomed to the roaring crowds and actually growing fond of it. She stops in front of Bea. "So you are the one who challenged me. I hope your pokemon are good at martial arts, because they will need it." Uila ponders. "I wonder which is better, Tae Kwon Do, or Karate?" Bea's eyes widen slightly before she turns around and begins walking to her respective side, and Uila follows.

"Begin!" The referee bellows, and Bea immediately sends out Hitmontop. Uila smiles and tosses her pokeball up in the air. "Let's show them true elegance in battle Oricorio!" Bea flaters slightly. She didn't recognize this pokemon but she couldn't dwell. "Use double kick!" "Use Hurricane and get some distance. Follow it up with Sky Attack when there is an opening!" The first attack strikes, almost fainting the fighting-type pokemon, and the second one finishes it off swiftly. "You fought well, time to fight Pangoro!" "Oricorio stays far away! And use Hurricane followed by Revelation Dance!" Both moves hit their target head on, and Pangoro was out. Bea grits her teeth, sending out Sirfetch'd. "Quickly use Smack-Down!" Oricorio gets hit to the floor and Uila grins. "That's fine, Swords Dance followed by Revelation Dance!" The attack hits and the pokemon is almost fainted. Bea uses a hyper potion. "Use Swords Dance!" Bea orders. Oricorio copies it. Bea looks confused as to why she did it when I didn't call out a move. "It's Oricorio's ability: Dancer. Now finish it off with Aerial Ace!" Sirfetch'd was one hit KO'd by two Swords Dance boosted moves.

Bea returns her pokemon. "You've left me no choice. Come on Machamp! It's gigantimax time!" Uila grins at the large pokemon, who roars at Oricorio. "You ready Oricorio!" "Cori!" "Alright, let's do this!" Uila and Oricorio go through the moves, and when Uil's fist hits the air, the move was powered up. "Use Supersonic Skystrike!" Oriocorio becomes enveloped in light before zooming off into the sky, before coming down and sniping Machamp. It was left at low HP, but Machamp still pulled off a Max Chi-Strike, which Oricorio got hit with. "Are you alright Oricorio!" "Cori!" Uila grins. "Alright! Finish this off with Revelation Dance followed by Hurricane!" Both attacks hit, causing the large Machamp to faint. The stadium was silent, before erupting in cheers. Oricorio chirps and climbs up Uila's shoulder. "Cori!" "You want to go back to your Sensu form?" "Ori Cori!" "Alright, I'll take care of that when we leave. I want you to be comfortable." She shakes Bea's hand. "That was very impressive, I would like to compare the different Martial Arts sometime, we could have a physical spar." Uila grins. "That would be awesome." "Anyway, here is your fighting badge, your next gym will be with the fairy-type leader in Ballonlea." "Thanks Bea." She exits the Gym, changing and releasing Lucario along with receiving her bag from her two trusty electric pokemon. "Thank you guys! You two are the best!" Lucario grumbles. "Oh hush you, you didn't want to watch the eggs, so you can be quiet."

"Uila!" She turns to see Bea running up to her. "Since there are many incompitent people in this gym, I wanted to give you the copy of our uniform and the TM Brick Break." Uila smiles. "Thanks Bea." "Is that Raihan's jersey?" She looks down and blushes lightly. "Yeah, I ran out of clean clothes so he let me borrow one of his Jersey's." She nods and notices Lucario. "No way, is that a Lucario!" Uila smiles at the stars in Bea's eyes. "Yep, the very first pokemon on my team." Manectric nudges Uila's arm. "I know, I caught you after I caught Lucario." She turns back to Bea. "Anyway, we should go get lunch, I am honestly curious on how Karate varies from Tae Kwon Do." She nods. "I don't think I have any more challengers today. Most of them challenge Allister because they think he is easier to beat." "More time for training right?" Bea perks up. "Definitely. You should drop by our Dojo during Off-Season, I meant what I said. Sparring would be great."

Uila smiles and returns Ampharos and Manectric, pulling on her bag with Oricorio jumping onto her head. "So, where to have lunch?"
