Uila hugged her knees on the couch, not really paying attention to the show she put on to try and distract her when she and Lucario arrived. She knew she wouldn't be able to stand the Roaring Crowds or Gigantimax pokemon, so she went home. Lucario was resting after the battle, as he should be, which left Uila alone until Raihan got home. Uila felt tears crawling to her eyes as she struggled to push the memories out of her mind. She felt panic climb up into her throat and that made it harder to breathe. She fiddled with her hoodie sleeves and tried to anchor herself into reality, tears slipping down her face that she couldn't keep in.
The doorknob jiggled and that only made Uila's panic raise. She grabbed her wrist and bit down on her lip, harder than she should have as it drew blood. She tucked her head into her knees and tried to calm her breathing. "Sweetheart?" She recognized Raihan's voice, concern heavily coating his words. Her heart hammered inside her chest. She didn't want him to see her like this. "Baby? Can you look up at me?" Uila shook her head. "Can I hold you?" She slowly nodded and felt his arms wrap around her. "It's alright sweetheart, nothing is going to happen while I am here." She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into the soft material of his Jacket.
Raihan was unfamiliar with what to do in these types of situations, especially since he didn't know what was happening. He figured that he should comfort her somehow. He rubbed circles on her back and asked her to breathe with him, since her breathing was erratic. Once she stopped breathing harshly, she began to cry.
Uila couldn't control it no matter how much she tried. She just started crying. She felt Raihan shift them so that they were laying down and rubbed her back. She felt so many emotions that she hadn't felt since leaving Alola, sadness, pain, fear, and despair. After a while she eventually ran out of tears to cry, her cries turning into soft hiccups. Raihan looked at the woman in his arms, worry shining brightly in his eyes. "It's alright sweetheart, it's alright." She didn't respond, and Raihan began to pet her head, running his fingers through her hair. She slowly calmed down as she listened to Raihan's heartbeat. "Baby?" She slowly looked up to meet his eyes, and his expression softened. "There's my gorgeous girl." He kissed her forehead and smiled. "Do you want to get something to eat?" She nods. "You want pizza?" Another nod. "Alright, the usual?" He already knew the answer but wanted to make sure she was doing alright, or as alright as she could be. She nodded and he pulled out his phone, keeping one arm around Uila while dialing the number for the Pizza Place, ordering a Large Meat Lovers Pizza.
They lay in silence for a bit, Raihan just playing with Uila's hair, until the Pizza got there. Raihan got up, at the knock of the door, assuring Uila that he would only be going a few feet away to answer the door. He settled back down on the couch, placing the Pizza in between them and pulling Uila into his side. While they were eating, Raihan decided to speak up. "I'm not going to force you to tell me what caused that, or even what that was. I know that you'll tell me on your own time, so don't worry about that." He kissed her temple, causing Uila to smile. "Thank you." She mumbles. "It's no problem my sweet. Do you want to watch a movie? Might work better than a kids show." She laughs a little. "Sure, let's do it."
They then began to watch the Harry Potter series, falling asleep a little through the fourth one. Aside from the episode, it was a decent day on Uila's part.
